Golf 2021

McIlroy, +7 after 18 at The Players, Quadruple bogey on the 18th after going in the water twice....

Really struggling for consistancy at the minute is Rory....
Sorry, even worse than I thought, just startede watching it....he started on the 10th, so he's +7 after 9 holes....

Westy flying again, -3 thru 12, seems to be in cracking form....

He's hitting strange rounds at minute. You can JUST bout guarantee Rory will have 1xround in the week which prevents him from that win its strange. However today he's having a bizarre front/back 9.

Alot of the players having bad scores on that Par 3,17th hole fair few bad scores/bogeys/double due to the water.

It's a very clever pin position on 17, looks like an invitation to go flag hunting, but the green is rock hard.

The pile of balls in the water behind the green will be above the surface by the end of the day at this rate.

Just backed Westwood for the masters at 70/1, generally plays well there anyway and with the way he's playing atm you never know.

Keep saying and will continue to say it. Get your marra off the bag Rory and get someone who speaks and has balls.

Forgotten who’s caddy it was at bay hill but he was so strong with the player, huge self confidence in what he was saying.

In fairness to Rory, he won 4 times in 2019 with that caddy on the bag, and they weren’t mugs tournaments (one was The Players actually).

He just in bad form, said himself he doesn’t know what’s going on with his swing right now. He has no idea where the ball is going (and you can tell :lol:)

Went into the Covid break in absolutely stellar form and has been fairly middling ever since. Probably at some do what DJ done last summer - win a ‘lesser’ event and suddenly kick into gear.

Either that or he'll go to Augusta expecting nothing and get it right that week.

This is a good listen for those that listen to podcasts, Butch Harmon

Always got the impression Butch would be great company over a few beers

Agree with this, yer man is just a bag carrier, he needs someone to give him a kick up the arse when needed.

he’s that good that he’ll still win tournaments but you get the feeling he should and could be winning a lot more.

Fingers crossed, not many go into Augusta ice-cold and win but you never know, might find something at The Matchplay (I’d presume that’ll be his only tournament before Augusta).

Anyway, Tony Finau wins The Masters this way, ultimate storyline!
