I honestly think that there’s another wow one coming in. We literally didn’t big up our club record signing. Can see us spending 40m on a CF. We ll get at least one CB in aswell.

It's difficult for the club to big up someone as a record signing when they like to keep the fee paid a secret!
 
2 x quality CB's in and ready to go ASAP is a must.

I know the club won't exactly be unaware of this and will be working night and day, but our issue is some of our "easier" games for the entire season occur before the window even closes. That puts the "window is open for another X weeks" argument to bed for me.

We essentially need to operate as if our window closes this week, and it seems we have been doing so given the number of players we've brought in early doors.

No other club has a better set of opening fixtures on paper and we'll need every single point we can get. It'll be a massive shame to throw points away early doors by not getting those CB's in to accompany the other excellent signings we've made to-date.

I think you might be right, but I hope you're wrong. I think Mayenda has huge potential, but to be the number one striker is a big ask in the PL for a player who's so young. Someone said we need a Darren Bent like player, they're spot on, but players like that are hard to come by.

I think it's fair to say that the end of the window comes too late for us, given some of our better fixtures for the entire season take place prior to the window closing?

I agree, however proven centre forwards come at a massive cost to the club, and I doubt that sort of money is available unfortunately...

Seelt being the biggest question mark, but I think he's looked good in pre-season. O'nien back soon and also Alese at some point. If we can get one top CB in before West Ham, I'd feel much more comfortable.
