No, I'm perfectly well aware how transfer discussions happen, which is why I said if it's come out of the blue "which I'm sure it hasn't". But we don't know, so I'm commenting on a forum as people do. If it's come out of the blue then it'll be a struggle. If it hasn't (which again is literally what I said I suspect to be the case) then, as I said, we've hopefully got a solution lined up. We don't know either way yet, so we'll wait and see, but it's a discussion forum so we talk about it first
 
So Liverpool loan us a player with a broken bone in his back, that they knew nothing about. They have a long term interest in Geetruida, but don't sign him, and wait until we do, then want him. Do you think they wanted us to make sure he wasn't injured because their medical staff are a bit crap?😁

What I’m saying is people make up scenarios in their head and react to them… I don’t think Liverpool want Geertruida just because they think we are desperate or we would just tell them to fuck off! No doubt the clubs have been in talks for a while.

Four of them are PL players. Hume you could argue is another and Cirkin maybe too might be, O'nien I doubt but I think he can cover occasionally. Now they're good as back up, but like in midfield with Mundle and Hume and Mayenda wide/2nd forward, if you're using two of them in the same midfield or defence then you're probably too weak at PL level. Same with Rigg and Seelt earlier in the season - it's lessened when there's strength around them, but at times they're just not ready or some good enough.

Geertruida's versatility has been massive for us this season.
