100% ... he's a good player but a victim of his versatility. All clubs need his type of player though.1) He’s a very good player but doesn’t get in to our first choice defence or midfield. Which is remarkable really and shows how far we’ve come in a very short space of time.
2) I trust the people who got us to where we are now to get a quality replacement in.
People need to chill on this one.
Few days,it shuts tomorrow at 7
Konate has had a family bereavement to deal with I think. Both their right backs are injured, and they’re struggling at centre half (Konate has been absent, and is out of contract in the summer, VVD needs a break and Gomez is made of Niall Huggins)
He has.Konate has had a family bereavement to deal with I think.
Would make sense why he was playing for the u21s and we didn't play him at west ham. Heads been turned.I’d bet we’ve known for the last week.
Hes a top bloke but just don't think hes up to the rest of the side thats all. Its frustrating if we end up weaker. You left a couple of comments about 09. One been “ Head in hands if he comes on tomorrow” Then another dig at him when you mentioned “ All is well we have Luke to step up” Patronising comments.
Fwiw i think you are one of the better posters on here you no what you talking about and i agree with alot of your posts but you do like getting alot of digs in about O’Nien for no apparent reason
Only if we don’t bring in a replacement imo.
He’s not really a starter for us.
Is Danns properly fucked?
Giui isn’t good enough, certainly not at the minute any way
He’s definitely been under used, it’s the only issue I’ve had with Reggie this season tbh. Shoehorning Hume into a role when we’ve had a player of his level on the bench has had me scratching my head a few times this season. He is without doubt a very good player a very good age and has a very good pedigree. I’ve just gotta think Reggie doesn’t fancy him for whatever reason. I’d have had him in ahead of Hume in that weird role, I’d have had in him at centre mid ahead of a few especially during afcon. It’s a shame and clearly he’s thought enough of to be wanted by the current champions on paper he should be one of the first names on the teamsheet but Reggie has earned his choices and he’s hasn’t used him as much as I would’ve this season. He has only started 10 games here and it's a World Cup year, so I have no doubt he'll want away, irrespective of how many minutes he has played overall.
Not sure how going to Liverpool solves his playing time issue mind, but it'll be hugely disappointing to lose him as he's a PL level RB, CB and DM. You don't really get versatility like that any more these days, especially not for the widely reported £18m reported fee to make his loan permanent.
Losing one player in Geertruida loses depth for us at 3 positions.
You can't argue with our results, but I do feel he has been underused and it'll be a definite blow to suddenly lose a versatile player like him who we had wrapped up in a bow for an £18m option.
It does explain why he was a no show against West Ham mind as everyone thought it was extremely odd.
He was brought in to cover afcon if we're being honest. Injuries gave him more minutes. He's a good player and it's a pity but our hands are tied. That’s an interesting stat. I guess it’s skewed a little in his favour by Afcon.
Thought we had a option to buy him
Mate if I get to my seat on Monday and see Hume covering in the middle again my heart will sinkAgree totally if he’s asking him to also cover inside. Disagree if he’s just being asked to play on the right. He’s proven multiple times he can do that job very well indeed this season.
He's been absent since the first game of the season, as good as playing 10 menKonate has had a family bereavement to deal with I think.
Given the amount he's appeared and his versatility he'll be a big miss.. no point dressing it up any other way1) He’s a very good player but doesn’t get in to our first choice defence or midfield. Which is remarkable really and shows how far we’ve come in a very short space of time.

Would not that also involve the player agreeing to it? Given his lack of starts and if Liverpool are in for him then his head will be turned.Thought we had a option to buy him
He doesn't play in the middle.Mate if I get to my seat on Monday and see Hume covering in the middle again my heart will sink![]()
