Frankie and Danny - Thank You!

A couple things ...

I think you can do your own broadcast in the Prem after a delay - I think it's 48 hours. I know Manchester United does it. I don't know if our support is sufficient for that to be worthwhile.

If it isn't worthwhile, I'd love to see Danny Collins replace Benno. I know Benno is a legend who loves the club with every fibre of his being, but Danny is miles better.

Excellent post. They're a brilliant duo and given us some great moments over the years, topped by the last couple of weeks. I'll be gutted to see them go if this is the end.

That and the Vertu Motors one lately with that horseshit story about that blokes dad who used to work fixing Spitfires which now gives him the passion to sell second hand cars (?).
"I try picture myself as the customer ser the pherters have to look really good"

So inciteful

Apologies if already discussed on this thread but I watched their bit on the pitch after the game last night on youtube. About as amateur as you get but I loved it. Frankie's love the club is brilliant and his enthusiasm infectious. He kept pulling a second player in for a chat while Danny was already talking to one so with two microphones you would have both players talking at the same time. But so what it was great fun. I definitely think they should get a new role at the club where if it isn't Matchday commentary then it's just a separate thing for socials and SAFC TV etc.

Looks like Danny Collins is tearful at the end of the Wembley video? Hopefully they can find something for both of them to stay involved with the club.

They both grew into it and we'd usually watch with their commentary rather than Sky, I think the bairn loved their enthusiasm (and bias).

The bairn went to one of the open training sessions last season, he was more chuffed to have got a picture with Frankie than he was any of the players.

Aye, he was definitely choking up when Frankie said "if this is the last thing we ever do for Sunderland, what a way to leave it".
