Frankie and Danny - Thank You!


Really enjoyed their stuff. Always thought frankies mic volume needed adjusting but always appreciated him as a fan foing the presenting. Danny collins wmvery good analyser of the game aswell. Cheers lads
 
Excellent post. They're a brilliant duo and given us some great moments over the years, topped by the last couple of weeks. I'll be gutted to see them go if this is the end.

That and the Vertu Motors one lately with that horseshit story about that blokes dad who used to work fixing Spitfires which now gives him the passion to sell second hand cars (?).

Frankie does grate on me sometimes, but he clearly loves the club and he's improved markedly since the start. They talk over each other far too much but they are a million times better than anyone we've had cover us lately. Will be a miss.

Danny was doing a bit of coaching but is of the era of footballer that he'd have made plenty enough money to never need to work again.

Frankie is a DJ and plays in a band called Frankie and the Heartstrings. Also works as a Music Officer for Sunderland Music City.

Using wrestling terms, Danny is the play by play and Frankie is the colour commentator and I think Danny stepped out after Frankie got the plaudits in playoff semi. Either that or he realised that Frankie was completely overcome with emotion like the rest of us and took over for him.

Danny has confirmed that Frankie was overcome with emotion and unable to get his words out after Watson's goal, so seeing that he decided to step in and take over.
 
just seen the commentary back for our winner. Danny Collins does brilliantly to take control of the situation, as Frankie just screams ‘oh my god’ and then goes mute for the next 5 minutes. Did he pass out? 🤣

He wasn't the only one, I couldn't speak for about 5 minutes afterwards :lol:
