Forthcoming gigs.

Fab evening. Kicked off a nice little run for me with Peter Buck & Luke Haines, The Burning Hell and Dave Stewart in the next week.
I'm off to see Peter Buck (R.E.M.) and Luke Haines (The Auteurs) at the Cluny in a couple of weeks. Can't wait. Never thought I'd get the chance to see a former R.E.M. member in a venue like that.

Also got tickets for CMAT in October. That's now been moved to the City Hall.
What did you think of Luke Haines & Peter Buck last night? The new album hasn't clicked with me yet, probably due to only hearing it a few times, so I enjoyed the other songs they played a lot more. I had read that the same band were also the support (The Minus 5), but I'd completely forgotten until I saw them walk on.

I thought they made a decent racket without really knowing any of the songs. I was just chuffed at having Peter Buck actually playing there.

My enjoyment of the evening was tempered somewhat by 2 separate people throwing their pints over me when they missed the last step down from the bar. One during the 1st song by the 'support' (a pale ale) and the other during the 1st song by the headliners (Guinness). Couldn't believe it, I was absolutely drenched!
