Forthcoming gigs.

Just two single tickets left for The Fire Doors on 26th September at Washington Arts Centre, Fatfield. It looks a nice little venue with banked seats.

Interesting article from today's Guardian. Love these lads. They deserve better.

Great find! Hope you enjoyed the festival. I had a great one. Saw a lot of Sunderland fans around too who got little fist bumps from me so if I saw anyone off RTG, hi!

Highlights were Kneecap, Jasmine 4.t, Los Camp!, CMAT (unbelievable live even though not usually my cup of tea), MJ Lenderman and Yard Act. But an all round sublime experience

Tremendous weekend, as usual (my 8th, I think). Made an effort to take things easy and pace myself - got the train down for the 1st time and even pre-booked a little tent. Spent more time at Rising Stage than usual and noted a few bands I'll look out for in future - Westside Cowboy, Truthpaste and Adult DVD.

Cmat was a joy! Really enjoyed Wet Leg, Melin Melyn, Yard Act, Beth Gibbons, Kneecap (at a distance - felt like the 'signer' had a tough job!) John Grant and the closing double for me of Joshua Idehen and Big Special were a perfect end. Couple of food favourites were missing, but nowt's perfect.

Did you do the quiz?

Wonderful. I saw Westside Cowboy too and can see them going onto big things.

No I didn’t actually. I usually have my ‘big night’ on the Saturday and stayed up very late to watch Dove and Icemorph. Both outstanding but strolling back at 4am I did think I may struggle with the early aspects of the day… did you make it to the quiz?

Aye we thought we might have made the podium but had a stinker on the Spotify round. I'll hoy the Dingbats up. All answers are acts who played at GM last weekend. Some need to be pronounced in a Norn Irish accent..... (we got 10/10 on that one!)

Frankie fronted their Doors tribute years ago didn't he? Think it was a one-off at IndieP.

I think he did Light My Fire at that Firestarters show when the FS first opened.

I saw the first Fire Doors gig at the Peacock which was a great evening. I was surprised at how 'straight' they played it, none of the usual banter with the audience, or each other, just 'being the Doors', though David refrained from whipping his cock out.

I'm talking donkeys years ago. Before the Heartstrings.

Is that the same one they have at Jesmond?? If so, it`s brilliant food.
Yeah, same people. Cracking food and an even better gig!

Amazing seeing such an incredible live act and such a tight backing band in a tiny little club venue. Was worried they might have been a bit deflated playing such a small venue after doing big gigs/festivals all over Europe, but they looked like they were having a great time!

Fantastic Negrito was bloomin' outstanding last night at Pilgrim. It was Soulful, Bluesy and very, very Funky and he rocked hard too. Incredible musicianship and improvisation and Negrito oozed charisma and had such a soulful, edgy voice. Quite possibly one of the best gigs I`ve ever been to.

Yeah, agree with all that. Definitely in my top 10 most memorable gigs.
