Forthcoming gigs.

Very good tonight.
just got in. was fantastic, loved the choir during idumea. it's a canny venue the boilershop.

just as an aside, i bumped into a lad i've known for about 30 years from going away for weekends on the bikes. had a fair few beers with him and never knew he was into new model army and vice versa.

Do you not think the drums were too high in the mix for the choir? was good but could have been so much better if you coulf hear them more clearly.
Really enjoyed the gig though.

I’m giving it a swerve as I’m seeing them at Northern Kin & it’d be another night, there’s been a lot recently!

Dan Donnelly did make me think twice like. As Kingdom Bhoy said, really enjoyed him before Ian Prowse.
You doing Northern Kin - I’ve got camping for the weekend which will be my next gig at the moment

Anybody going to Echobelly @ Cluny next month? I'm struggling to find anybody that's even heard of them!
I thought 'Great Things' was a cracking pop song. Lyrically they always seemed very interesting. Like a number of bands from that era, they were overwhelmed by the laddish element that seemed to be what people wanted.

Could have toned it down slightly for that song to help the choir but I was still able to hear them. Thought the sound was decent overall. First time I’ve been there.

just watched it again and i can sort of see what you mean although at the time i never really noticed, i did think justin tried to sing a bit quieter to not overpower the choir. i think it's a fantastic piece of music, quite emotive.
don't know if this link will work.
edit, hasn't worked.

me & the mrs were at the back leaning against the windows. i'm far too old to be anywhere near the front, i prefer to stand at the back or on a balcony if there is one and get immersed in it. i did notice there appeared to be quite a few clogs, might have to get mine down from the loft for saturday :D
