You sold vip tickets given to you by the band? Wow.Melts I think. And yes they were decent imo.
That's mad cos I was on the Guestlist via Carlos (the guitarist) and ended up with 3 excess tickets which I ended up selling to some pissed up trampy touts outside for a tenner each
Aye. I only went for VoM too. Pretty disappointed. Didn't stay for Atilla. With Attila? I’ve seen them 3 times and that was the worst - Attila were awful, left halfway through.
I had 3 tickets left over, even the bouncers told me to sell them. I asked a couple of people if they needed tickets, they didn't, so there was only a couple of touts left to ask. If I hadn't then no one would have had themYou sold vip tickets given to you by the band? Wow.

I saw Fontaine’s n Murder Capital within a couple of hours of each other...........I know exactly what you’re saying. Both fit the current post punk indie is template. Dress in dark clothes, bit of sleeper, bit of stranglers, bit of wire, bit of fall, a couple of lines of talking in a few songs etc etc.No, but apart from the singer/lyrics who I enjoyed, the music was fairly generic 'angry' indie punk. I didn't not enjoy it, it was just wasn't as original as some have said.
Oh I forgot Ian Prowse in Wigan early April. He is also playing the Peacock in Sunderland around then if anyone fancies it.Kaiser Chiefs next Friday in Blackpool.

NYC in May. Not seen them since London, early 90s. I was trying to remember where else I’d seen them and I think I saw them, randomly, in Hartlepool back then. Any idea what venue was in Hartlepool on the circuit back then (late 80s)? It felt almost like the function room of a working men’s clubHouse of f***ing love. Jealous. Where at?
It's not the 'proper' HOL though. It's Guy and some new musicians. Especially not without BickersNYC in May. Not seen them since London, early 90s. Thanks, I guess it was that - Borough Hall. As for Bickers, this is the anniversary of the Butterfly album and he’d gone by then anyway - there was a different guitarist whose name escapes. He may have been in the “proper” lineup but not when they had their biggest success. I think he was on the album but not for the gigs. It's not the 'proper' HOL though.
