Left foot forward Gary Nelson
the Far Corner Harry Pearson (anyone on here the Sunderland Skinhead?)
These two definitely. I’m currently reading Barça - the making of the greatest team in the world by Graham Hunter and enjoying it.

The current bit is about how Messi and Iniesta nearly went to Rangers on loan but the management decided Scottish football was too rough for them.

Fever Pitch (Nick Hornby) and The Glory Game (Hunter Davis)….both books been out for years...but still worth reading...when footie wasn't fcucked by greed..

'Black Boots & Football Pinks' by Daniel Gray

An easy and nostalgic read. 50 short 3-4 page chapters reminiscing about a whole host of stuff most of us will remember from the past, like black boots, watching scores on ceefax, and goalkeepers in trackie bottoms and caps.

Not one for the younger crowd as they will have nee idea whats going on, but a nice easy nostalgic read.

Not a book, obviously, anyone listened to "That Peter Crouch Podcast" just wondered if it was worth a listen

Lee Howey book was excellent.
Greatest footballer you never saw (Robin Friday) also been mentioned above.
Tony Adams autobiography good book
The book by Peter Risdale (ex Leeds chairman) about their financial meltdown was a real eye opener, an excellent read.

Agree with other poster that SKP book was poor.

The newly released Harry Pearson tome 'The Farther Corner' is brilliant and a worthy successor to his original classic 'The Far Corner'. Poignant, funny and informative in equal measure it is an absolute 'must read'.
If people haven't read it, one of the great football books is 'All Played Out' by Pete Davies. The author was given free access to the England camp during the 1990 World Cup to write it, and boy does he utilise his opportunity superbly. Funnily enough, no journalist has ever been given that sort of access since!

Always in my recommendations.

Always worth checking the "internet archive " site
