Was "please try and understand before one of us dies"... I say that at work
Just been on holiday with wife, daughter & SiL, surprising how many Fawlty Towers references we used in our speech.
This from a TV show shown long before my daughter & SiL were born.

Likely Lads (Whatever happened to) - the bike race. Great bit of social history too seeing how places have changed.

Also Steptoe and Son - the episode where the house is partitioned. Classic.

Or the one where Rigsby breaks out of prison & turns up at their house

“Don’t tell him Pike”

Just watching Whisky Galore and it's obvious they nicked the whole Capt. Mainwaring & Home Guard thing from it.

The second series of Parks & Recreation when Chris Tregar and Ben Wyatt arrive to cut and eventually close the department down. Ron Swanson played it superbly - "What's a non-gay way of asking him if he wants to go camping with me?"
