Congratulations to you too, mate!Congratulated a few lads fans I saw yesterday.
Love that mind.Saturday night lots of randomers coming up a congratulating us, on the tube and in the streets. One Crystal Palace supporter we met in a pub insisting on buying us a couple of rounds, as he just wanted to talk to us about the match and the makems; we exchanged numbers and going to take him and his mates and his dad Keith on the lash when they play us at the SOL.
The whole weekend felt like my 73 experience as a 16 year old.
Then it was the underdogs against dirty Leeds, this trip was more about people having a knowledge of, and affinity with us as a club and supporters group.
I know how great we are, I reckon most real football fans know it too.
Scenes all weekend unbelievable, among the best was singing the Enzo song for 15 minutes continuously under the bridge waiting for the tube, fantastic.
Loved the rickshaws playing Wise Men say around Covent Garden/Soho, mental.
My daughters’ best bit was celebrating the winner with Jermaine Defoe in the press box and having the pictures to remember it by!
Random ‘Haway The Lads’ all over London all weekend
We’re all wiped out in our house.I was right at the front with the kids. The police in the line were just looking on smiling and thinking this lot are mental
My youngest lad 7 kept doing it every time we got on / off the tube. He was buzzing folk doing it back to him everywhere.
He’s shattered today!! But what an experience & weekend.
