Quite like that....clean looking...and it's got Jim Beam slapped on it...
Somewhere in a Detroit design consultancy, some guy with a beard went "hey you know what will never have been done before.... different livery on each side!" Cue applause and "yes buddy, yes!" from all around the room
The Tommy Hilfiger badge on predominantly silver livery had me thinking its a Mercedes (when looking at the photos half asleep).Quite like that....clean looking...and it's got Jim Beam slapped on it...
part of me kind of wanted the General Lee.The Tommy Hilfiger badge on predominantly silver livery had me thinking its a Mercedes (when looking at the photos half asleep).
The correct answer ^ - Knee jerk rule changes just end up creating new strategies that might be far from what you hoped for. The Game Theory wins out every time. You have to be so so careful. To be honest, I am not sure what the solution is. We all want drivers to be driving flat out all race. We all want good competitive races with lots of action. The issue is teams always work out how is the fastest way to complete those 300km on a Sunday, that is their goal and they aren't bothered about the racing spectacle. So it doesn't really matter what you do, give them bullet proof tyres, they will go forever on them, give them tyres that fall to bits then will driving slower to make them last as long as possible.
Even the good tracks are no good now cos the cars are far too big and have far too much downforce - treating 130R and Eau Rouge like a straight is a crying shameBut we need tracks that are suited to racing, that have a long straight, that are wide, that have gradient, that have grip, that get weather.
We need more wet weather racing. We needs the willingness to put full wets on and race.
There’s shuttle buses from MKAny lads (or lasses) on here been to Silverstone and stayed in Milton Keynes? Found a free cancellation hotel for 80 quid a night for this year so going to head down, curious to know if anyone knows the best way to get from the city to the track?
What's going on? The P1 with Matt & Tommy watchalong might be hilarious!
Maybe the FIA could do a test where the race director has to follow the rules.Been thinking more about this compression ratio situation and I think there is a way the FIA can make a change and it doesn't leave Mercedes with an argument. Rather than changing the rule and replacing the cold test with a hot test, all they need to do is amend the rule to say this will be measured at ambient temperature and during this hot test.
At this point they aren't changing the rules they are simply adding an extra test to ensure 16:1 is being followed. FIA has done this constantly over the years, be it flexi wings or the Ferrari engine.
steady on...Maybe the FIA could do a test where the race director has to follow the rules.
That might be useful.
I’m sure his employers will be delighted at his ringing endorsement!Button is predicting that Russell will win the drivers championship this year
