I know where you're coming from and after personally being dismissive of Villa's warnings I took heed of what Swindon had to say about Di Canio (still waited to make my own mind up too) and I'll do the same about Rodwell before getting carried away. However I've noticed before how revisionist Everton fans can be. It's not necessarily a criticism of them as they're generally loyal towards their own but don't half change stance once someone's gone. A lot will say Moyes, Fellaini and Lescott for example were never that good in the first place (in fairness they've been vindicated to an extent!) but whilst at Everton they were all the best thing since sliced bread. Hopefully the Rodwell thing is just sour grapes to an extent. Is this the same stance where you accused Villa fans of being bitter when you appointed O'Neill when they warned you of his flaws and when you accused Swindon fans of being bitter when they warned you of Di Canio's flaws?
Rodwell is a good player when fit, of that there is no doubt but don't to be so unobjectionable. Especially when it is people that have viewed him a lot that are reviewing his ability. That mistake was made with O'Neill and Di Canio in the past.
