Everton Fans Thoughts on Rodwell

This has "SMB believing what they want to believe and ignoring any negative thoughts from those that actually know" written all over it. I'll always remember the outrage at Villa fans who were tearing into our saviour O'Neill days before he was appointed. Low and behold, almost everything they said was actually true. I was one of those that refused to accept any negative opinions mind.

85 games, 4 goals for Everton. Hardly earth-shattering.

I'm choosing to keep any potential excitement contained for the time being.

edit: for the money we're spending on Rodwell, I'd have preferred us to sign Sigurdsson who was clearly available for similar money.

A year into Hendersons Liverpool career a lot of SAFC fans would probably have suggested that we had Liverpool's eyes out. I'm not sure there are many would think that now.

Rodwell 23 and its amazing what a good run of games, backing of a decent manager and some stability can do for a lad that age. He certainly has the great raw attributes and the rest I'm sure Gus can work with. The only fair point they are making is around fitness but I'm sure the club are thinking that through.

All 4 goals were scored with his chomp.

If for some reason he doesn't sign, we'll have dodged a bullet and he was shite all along.

Aye and Sigurdsson also isn't the kind of player Gus was looking for.

Just hated reading that... mainly because I can't argue with it....

Has all the attributes of a class player. Its why we are able to get him that worries me.
Normally I'd be wondering as well but this is Man City we are talking about (THE richest club in the world) ...not getting into their first team after a spate of injury's does not a bad player make!

By smb logic, all those 'know nowt' Everton fans will be bang on the money as soon as Rodwell misplaces a pass in his first outing.
