Enzo Le Fée

Plays like Bernardo Silva - all energy with a bit of needle. Can unlock defences (cliche) and doesn’t stop trying. However, don’t think he was that good against Villa defensively, let McGinn get the run on him a couple of times. Obviously, his forward play was very good.

Man City could do worse than have a look as a squad filler/Bernardo replacement.

I think they were up against a very strong, very experienced pairing.

I don't think I've seen Reinildo struggle as much in a game this season as he did yesterday. Whether that's a hangover from his recent injury or he was just up against strong opponents who had his number I don't know, but sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say they had the beating of us down there.

Mind I did think it was laughable when Reinildo was floored next to their box, nothing given, game continues, then seconds later Matty Cash wins a free kick for even less contact.
Yeah agree with you. I just tghought the pair of them switched off a few times. Whilst they were up against and experienced pairing (cash/mcginn?) Reinildo and Le Fee are pretty experienced too! Like you say though its the first time I've seen them struggle though.

ELF is a strange one, all our midfield are being linked Diarra Saudi, Sadiki everybody and now ELF. All good players in their own way.
I think we will sell one of them for the right money.
The link with Diarra was quoting "silly money" but no figure. I think he is a good player but getting some stick as he is an easy target coming back in when the team aren't great and it shows, hasn't helped himself with the penalty or miss on Sunday.
ELF hard to place he gives the ball away too much CM needs a strong team around him, but is a very good player.
Sadiki has the most upside and its easy to forget he is only 21. Suits what the team needs in running power, looked half the player with Xhaka missing but thats understandable, no surprise so many top teams linked.
Sadiki is a bit of a one trick pony but is very good at what he does well which is break up play and give the ball to the more creative players like Le Fee or Xhaka. Le Fee is the type of creative player every team needs, versatility and genius on the ball but prone to the occasional brain-fart as these type of players are, even Xhaka is occasionally prone to a wayward pass. Rienaldo and Le Fee are usually good together on the left but Sunday not so good maybe Rienildo is still a bit off the pace. For Forest we need Ballard to be back and play our best 11 which is where the problem comes in and the problem is Diarra and how do we use him without detracting from our most creative player Le Fee. I think this is where Sadiki needs to be more disciplined in helping out Rienildo allowing both Le Fee and Diarra to play a more central role, either that or Diarra is benched.

Silva was so good on Sunday against arsenal , last ditch tackles , clearing headers , controlling the games pace, attacking and injecting pace or slowing it down when needed. He was every where absolute quality

Champions League player all over him. Probably has a release clause, one of, if not the most talented player that has ever pulled on our great shirt.

Hope he stays, doubt he will.

I think he'll stay, mainly because of his mentor Le Bris and a big fat pay rise won't come amiss. However if either Man City, Liverpool or Arsenal come in for him it might be a different story. He's crap anyway gives the ball away too much ;)

Fair bit of logic in that but for me the player we build around is Rigg
In time yes, but right now it’s Enzo. Looks like he’s enjoying his football and think RLB has defo given hi. More freedom. He’s the playmaker and the creative spark. Most of the good stuff we do goes through Enzo. Liverpool can fuck right off.
Good post if we bring Isidor on then we should try to get le fee more central as it seems they have a great connection! Maybe we go 442 late in game and give Diarra a free role to press! Sadiki covers the left and le fee moved in to the middle for the end of the game!
Trouble is not many sides in the prem play as high a back line as Villa did on Sunday. LeFee/isidor can exploit it, as can many in the league which is why teams don’t do it. The risks outweigh the rewards at this level.

Gives the ball away too much? He rarely gives the ball away alot, I can only remember one incident that ended in a goal and that was against Arsenal. The one he was being blamed for on Sunday was more down to rustiness on the part of Rienildo and the persistence of Mcginn. People seem to remember the bad passes more when it's the likes of Le Fee and Xhaka because of the rarity.

The BBC football gossip page has him linked with Liverpool. The source is teamtalk though, so probably a load of shite

How much do you think it would take for us to accept an offer? Everyone has their price, but like Ghisolfi said about DBD - he's not replaceable. You can't just get another Enzo in the current market - especially with his ties to RLB.

Given he already had his big money move away from his childhood mentor and it went tits up, I can't see him being that keen to try again, but I'm sure there will be a price.

I'll be gutted when he goes like. He's mint.

Le Fee tinted spectacles or what? He let MGinn run off the back of him and Reinildo was pointing to him! Le Fee didn't have a great first half but he can be magical as his pass against Newcastle and for Isidor showed. He has caught the attention of big clubs I'm sure.

And for Diarra too tbf.

I understand the theory of playing him centrally given his attributes superficially seem better suited to that part of the pitch however I think we're prioritising physicality in the middle of the park. Xhaka and Sadiki are too good and important in the roles they play in terms of there. Some would argue that Diarra is the one you could drop but the game plan with Diarra is to utilise his pace and engine to let him play as a hybrid CM who can switch into second striker. I think ELF would end up being either being a dedicated no.10 or dedicated no.8 and you then lose something from his game and the team's game as a result from that.

I actually don't mind playing a more technical playmaker style footballer in one of the wide channels. Pair it with a more conventional winger on the other flank and I think it gives us a better range of ways to attack. In the long run I don't think we would play both ELF and Rigg but I feel like both of them have the same sort of characteristics so it's the same quandary about how best to utilise them. Maybe in the long you can turn one or both of them into more central playerse but that probably requires us to change other personnel and tactics.

Especially if Wood is playing, shudder to think of Luke in an aerial battle with him.

Haway Enzo.

Watford holds the record for the most team nutmegs in a single season within Europe's top five leagues, recording 70 during the 2021/22 Premier League season. They broke the previous record of 62 set by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2020/21.o

8 was the highest for an individual player that season

We need Ballard to handle Woods or Mukiele but I like him as an attacking full back. Forest looked decent against Burnley.

I've already said on a few previous posts that neither of them were very good first half, second half was a totally different story.

Well they paid over a hundred million for Wirz who, although he played well against us hasn't pulled up any trees and for me Enzo has to be in that ballpark figure. I would refuse even at that price but KLD might sell for less who knows. At the moment it's just speculation but I'm like you I want him to stay.
