Enzo Le Fée

No thanks - created plenty from cutting in from out wide. Supports how we play very well. Diarra gets close to the striker - it’s no surprise Brobbey looks a lot better since Diarra has come back with the support his running offers.
Diarra very rarely gets close to Brobbey. He was in a cb position at times yesterday when we had possession.

Maybe not, but we also get far more of those delicious passes from Enzo if he’s central. It’s a problem for Reg to solve, but Enzo remains at his most creative when he’s in the middle of the park.
This. Wilson's a better player when he's there too. That pass he played for Wilson's goal was just insane and I'd love to look back and see how many of Wilson's goal in the last year have been from passes like that from Enzo. The two of them just seem to have a telepathy.

Brobbey too. Basically Enzo makes our strikers better. If we put him in a position to influence as much as possible, we’ll be a better team.

At this point in our development Granit is our most important player, but as we move forward Enzo is the one we build around. Reg should be adapting things to let him be in a position to affect the game as much as possible imo - even if that means compromise elsewhere.
Fair bit of logic in that but for me the player we build around is Rigg

The tackle he made for our third goal. Straight back on his feet and released straight through to Isidor.

Think he's quite underrated in my opinion. I have him down as our best midfielder personally.
If in 2 games Le Fee was missing in one and Xhaka the other I know which MF we most miss and rely on and it isnt Le Fee
Very good player but not remotely close to à Xhaka in terms of overall ability, organisation etc etc

I thin kif Xhaka isn't in our team, Enzo is walking away with our POTS. He's a cheat code. We build around him.

Saying that, he looked off the pace in early sections of the game yesterday. Wondered if he was carrying a cold or summit. He looked like I felt!

People keep arguing that it's simple, and just move him into the middle. But its not that simple. He can't do the things that Diarra does, and Diarra can't do things he does.

If we drop Diarra and put ELF in the middle, then you eliminate the midfield runner. He is the pace and the legs breaking forward from midfield. He's also our best player at carrying out a high press and running close to Brobbey.

Even the chance he f@cked up against Villa, if Diarra isn't playing there we don't even get that chance, because he's the only one with the pace and forward-running from the centre, to actually get onto that ball in the first place. Ironically it was ELF - cutting in from the LW - that created that chance!

I fully acknowledge that ELF is a better technician and more creative, he's a superb player. And it is a little bit of a problem, and playing ELF wide left is a compromise - and it's exactly what I said would happen when Diarra came back to fitness. But it's far more complicated and a real trade off than people want to make it out.

He should have scored yesterday though, that was a crap finish that would have been cleared by a defender even if it bypassed Martinez.
