England v India (Third Test) Headingley

This is the thread, @Concordsafc

Eight years of help, advice and some good news stories. The cricket's not been bad today, too!

Burns certainly polarised opinion. He’s had too many failures of late but always seems to get a knock when the sharks are circling. Keep it up!
He's low down on problem list for me, has always looked better than the others we've tried there imo.

Though Hameed obviously has a very high ceiling on today's evidence, if he can keep his mind together.

Perfect day that. Walk up to the SoL tomorrow to get my ticket for Sarrada followed by popping in the Blue Bell on the way home to watch the afternoon/evening session with a few beers.

Great to see the arrogant Indian tossers spitting feathers.
Not been in the blue bell for a long while now used to enjoy a few games of pool there

The guys got 2 hundreds and got a good temperament...hes been found out not unlike Cook/Strauss were in there 2nd years but they went away (in Strauss' case) and worked on their scoring areas.
Cook early on was notorious for getting bogged down and not scoring for long periods of time.
Sibley should chat with Cook and learn from him otherwise he will be another Compton (very good county level but not quite good enough at test level)
I don't think you can compare them tbh, I think it's possible Sibley comes back, but Cook looked different class moment he strolled out for England.

A lovely day out with the missus today, then into the English pub for dinner. Thought they would be showing the cricket, but one screen had Australian rugby and the other one had MMA highlights. There some English lads watching the latter and when I asked if they planned on showing the cricket they gave me blank looks. I'd have revoked their English citizenship there and then if I'd had my way. Never mind, I can always get a stream on my phone, so that's what I did. Watched every ball bar the first three overs, much to the bewilderment of Mrs Yaffle. Bless her, she doesn't realise she has to put up with this for (possibly) another four days. I'm not sure who will have the longest face... her or Kohli.
