Played with and against bressie from under 11's until under 17's where he went on to yorkshire. Couldn't even hold a bat never mind use it for all of that time. Says a great deal about coaching at Yorkshire/England!

I had a nasty feeling we would have been rolled over this morning, thank fuck for Bell.

Really in a position to win this test now, shows why test cricket is great. Can change within a session and sometimes in an over. India will be crushed if their don't win this.

I think he always looks as if he has a good, solid technique aswell, certainly capable of hanging around and making scores down the order.

Had it not been a newish ball, he might have, I'd think. For now, Bresnan at 8 seems sensible. The strength of England's tail now is excellent. It used to be that someone with Anderson's ability would have been batting at 9.

Agree with that. We've got Swann at 10 who would be considered a bowler who can bat and then Ando who is our night-watchman coming in at 11. Not too shabby that.

I will agree now. Usually in junior cricket those that excel in bowling are pretty darn good at batting as well, just a natural sportsman. But this was not the case.

Prior must be the only batsman that scoroes more quickly in test matches than 50 over games. Runs rattling now. Could be leave them chasing 400?

TMS talking about a declaration!
Surely best to bat through tomorrow morning as far as possible, and still have a full 5 sessions after that to get them out.

No where near a declaration yet, if we are still batting at lunch tomorrow then yes talk about it then.

This.

Bat til lunch, if we cant bowl them out in 5 sessions we don't deserve to win the match
