plenty of batsman play pulls off the front foot, if you track a bowler and they bang it in short many batsman adjust and pull it
itys easier to pull off the front foot imo as you're more balenced

Tbh, for years I struggled to work out the difference and I'm still not completely sure now but I think it's mainly height related, most shots classed as a pull, the point of contact seems to be between waist and chest, whereas those classed as a hook shot seem to be between shoulder and above.
Just my interpretation of it.
