Watched Somerset the other night, not finals day mind, and whilst Banton looked good, Smeed was bounced out by a mid 80s bowler

We turned up for the second innings. By that point the club were spot on with the water situation, and we felt ok in the heat given that it had fallen a degree or two. Had a spell in the Don Robson which was in the shade too, loads cooler than the triple decker.

In summary, doing 500-830 was canny. Plenty who had started at 1pm were leaving for good when we landed though.

England look poor on the field but given that the WC is still over a year away I’m not that arsed.

I thought Durham were fantastic hosts to be fair.... got in no bother. Got food and drink no problem and the way they were providing cold water for everyone was amazing. Well done Durham I say !
