Embarrassing fans

The scene at the final whistle was sad, only needed a goal and was just about empty. Can’t think where this would happen anywhere else.
I’m usually the first to criticise early leavers, but couldn’t blame them last night - were never gonna score, and looked half-arsed all 2nd half.

I never slag our fans and defend them to the hilt, but early leavers do my boil my piss especially when the game is still in the balance.
I’ll never understand it.
I stay but to be fair to those that left that game was not in the balance
WBA were more likely to get another
We never had one shot in the second half on goal -at home -chasing ( supposedly ) the game
I’m not usually one to knee jerk however that half was t just frustrating it was very worrying as some players looked totally disinterested and the manager couldn’t see what everyone else could see .
It was like they had been told some terrible news at half time and all wanted to go home early .
It's daft threads like these that give the media and the mags fuel. Totally over-exaggerated and unnecessary.
I wonder if they are done by mags _like the inevitable how many were in attendance threads
I’m still thawing out this morning after a round trip that saw me get in at 1130pm -disappointed ( it was there to win)annoyed -frustrated -and worried in equal measure .
I know some travelled much further -to have a pop at fans after that second half beggars belief .

Wish I had left at half time. I usually stay to the bitter end, last night the final whistle blew as I was exiting the gates - no way was I applauding that second half performance.

If I had left at half time I would have also avoided the second half freeze. I am always fine and warm enough first half but the cold always hits me the moment I sit down for the second half and I continue to get colder and colder as the half wears on. By the end I am staggering out unable to feel my knees and feet. Think I only started feeling my feet last night by the time I reached the bridge - particularly cold last night.

Just that some fans know football and knew there was no chance of us scoring. Whereas some don’t know much and keep hoping we would score. Difference between Knowing and Hoping.
So just to be clear, the fans have every right to stop supporting the team if the other team is on top and we don't look like scoring?

Come-on mate, I'm usually pretty positive at the game (completely different to when I'm on here) but it was a matter of time when they scored again after equalising and, when they did, a lot of people will have had a tricky journey home last night.
The game was over when they scored the second - look at Mowbray's 88th minute desperation - we didn't create an actual chance all half.

Yeah I agree it looked over from about 60 mins, they absolutely destroyed us. The amount of fans leaving didn't look great that's all

I agree mate.
The first half both in and out of possession we played with intensity and a high tempo no issues whatsoever against what looked like a good team.
The second half was inexplicable we just seemed to totally drop off, we got nowhere near them, especially down the flanks where they put in quality crosses all night, it was a shocker.

Baffles me how some can give up and leave with 20 mins to go because its "Baltic", yet slate the players for doing the same
I stayed until the end but I don’t blame anyone fot leaving , from 55mins on we were going to lose that game . I can’t really have a go at TM because looking at our bench there was nowt he could do stop it . Am sure if you offered the fans the 20mins wages the players were still getting whilst having given up as you put it they would have happily stayed .

Good post , same here got nearly midnight , nee sympathy from her , “ you’re an idiot for it was on the telly “ , I agree it was worrying we are not yet good enough to compete with top half a dozen teams in this league. Only been back in it half a season. Looking at our bench I couldn’t see what TM could do to turn that game so am not blaming him even if I wasn’t impressed with his appointment .WBA will likely make the playoffs with their new coach , certainly exposes what a fraud Bruce is .

Well no, but score wise it obviously was, you can be absolutely shit and still salvage games you know.
That team was nowhere near capable of salvaging anything in that second half, not one shot on target and spent the vast majority of the half being pushed back. That and the substitutes by the manager and the freezing cold ensured the ground was almost empty at full time.

That's a fair point tbh mate. I was a tad frustrated at all the overly negative people on here last night so maybe got carried away. Hope you've defrosted by now

It had the feel of a friendly / pizza cup game right from the off, nee atmosphere or fuck all. Cold aye but the baggies made plenty noise
