I find this difficult to believe considering we sold Bent, Jones, Henderson , Cana, Gyan and Mignolet for big fees.

If we have spent more than we've sold it only helps but highlight the serious issue here, we have sold our better players and failed to replace them with quality.
Dont forget money from the prem, sky and sponsors.

strange how ashley can afford to keep their better players, yet he's doing the same as short. don't see those mag fuckers selling cabaye or ben arfa at the drop of a financial hat.

us - sess, bought for 6m, 6m offered...snatch..hands....your.....off....
Strange how Ashley is spending fuck all as well.............

The only offer they got for Cabaye was well short of what hes worth which is why he didn't go...........we wouldn't have sold sess for £3 million would we..............

The club owes him £267 million you muppet and if he could have found another mug he would have been off as fast as possible....

Can everyone remember Ellis Short buying a curry and a round of drinks for everyone after the Newcastle match? Don't expect that again, he's cutting back.
Thanks for the heads-up. I'll bring sandwiches.

Who created that cost? It was Ellis Short, agreeing to stupid contracts for worse than average shite. The buck stops with him.

It started before he was involved but as with most football clubs that's how they are run..

If the buck stops with him please tell me the solution then ?

You only have to read the accounts to see what the problem is.....

Operating costs £26 million more than turnover in the last ones............

still the simplistic idiots on here just think the stuff grows on trees.....
He doesn't pay the debt he only guarantees it, he'll shift it on to the next poor sod that thinks investing in football is a good thing.

Where are the figures to show how much we are losing and how much debt we have? I demand to see the books to see how they are balanced if it's true the club are making huge loses then it's about time you focused on your balance sheet and see where your going wrong.
Instead of stamping your feet like a spoilt child go look on the net............

The solution for me is get rid of Larsson, Gardner and most of the others and invest in a quality team for once. He maybe making a loss now but if he doesn't spend on quality the loss is going to drag on and on and on but I believe most clubs are making a loss anyway even the top clubs.

I believe he has spent around £100 million since he has been here which is around 4 or 5yrs? That may sound like alot of money to me and you but it isn't enough I'm afraid, not at this level. He should of bought a Championship club if he didn't want to dig deep, he should be spending that sort of money every 2 yrs at least not every 4 or 5.

That's a ridiculous statement

Who the hell do you think puts the cash in to fund the difference......................?

We cant just post a loss and stuff it in a cupboard and pretend its not there.............

You are pissing into the wind, mate.

So if he pays the debt each season why does the balance sheet show a loss, or to help me further at what point in the accountancy procedure do his payments balance the books?

I know...............alas modern day football has spawned thousands of fans who think money grows on trees.............

If the place they worked at posted such losses they wouldn't have a job..

They made a profit on transfer dealings this summer and net spend nowhere near ours over the last 5 years. They have managed to spend the money they got for Carroll etc on decent players we spunked ours on crap.

give over man. if they had got a stupid offer, they would have sold him, like they do with all their players.

they don't wait for daft 3 million profits, or 'just getting their money back', they try to get what they think the player is not worth, ie,overvalued, so they can invest it in another player of similar quality, and fat mike can pocket some more cash.

we very rarely do that for our big money players. i hate that the smug bastards do that, but they do.

But the Mags did under Ashley , they got relegated and got rid of Enrique, Butt, Bassong, Duff, Nolan Gerremi, Lovenkrands and xissco but all on high wages. They were their best players then went on to Sell Carroll and Nolan for massive profits, they did I agree hold onto Cabaye but they had their wages purge a few years ago and come up with a number of very good players from their scouting network.
