eBay question they

Nah, you’ve got the wrong person.

I don’t work in car sales.
Definitely you. I've even seen inside your secret compound man. Where you sit with your team and devise sales strategies. You hang a bonnet of a 96 plate Ford Escort on the wall as a makeshift whiteboard and use spent engine oil in a conical flask to track your salez.

FUMMING

If you’ve got summat on as an auction and people pm you asking if there’s a buy it now price, are they expecting you to offer a low price for a quick sale, or do they just want dibs without the bother of bidding? I’m currently just knocking them back and saying I’ll let it fly. Advice?

Careful like: I got banned from eBay for even opening up a dialog with a buyer when I was selling a very expensive guitar ... they accused me of trying to sell off forum and suspended my selling / buying privileges.

It was listed on Gumtree anyway and the fella found it there. Sale done.

I protested my innocence and got the ban lifted after a week :)

Ok, someone has now offered me £350 buy it now, but there’s already a bid in of £200 (which may be one of you lot taking the piss like). Take his money and fuck eBay off or let it ride?

Fuck eBay off all day Dave. Cancel the auction and accept the offer.

Unless you think it’s someone taking the piss, which I genuinely hope it’s not.
