Early Leavers - Again!

The reason for posting is that the thread basically suggests that anyone leaving early is not a true fan, so I wanted to show that sometimes people have genuine reasons. I admit this doesn't apply to everyone and when I do leave early I don't stop and stand in people's way. However, imo, the worst part is people arriving late at the start of nith halves and leaving their seats around the 35-40 minute mark because of the need to drink. Now that is inexcusable imo, but whatever I or anyone else says they will continue to do it.
arriving late and going 10/15mins early for a drink is the same as leaving early for me, I don’t drink and we go just to watch match about 2 hours of my time a fortnight but as ppl have pointed out it’s their choice

A massive issue is that if you leave even 1 minute early, it does get you home much quicker! Especially if you’re sitting in the N/NWC/NEC in the ground and need to be in the town.

The SOL shows its age with this as the exit (and entry) routes to the SOL are far too cramped. The turnstiles getting in yesterday were all queued at 2:50. There’s loads of space to put more turnstiles in too!

The exit routes by road from the city become packed very quickly after the game too.

I walked down the steps on 93:30 yesterday, and was home 10/15 minutes earlier than I normally would be if I left at FT as I beat the traffic out of the city centre.

Club need to look into the exit points and how people can enter and leave the ground quicker to suit the supporters needs
but so what if you get home 10/15 mins later, what’s the big win if you do. You get to watch an extra 15 mins of strictly come dancing? If the match is your big Saturday thing why the rush to get home 15 mins earlier

Was expecting a thread, so I'm not disappointed I've started it!
There was a break in play on 85 mins, it started, twats up out of their seats tapping the person next to them. Out they went, really encouraging the team to give everything "Til the end" (NOT). What's the point of going to the match if at 3.50 on a Sunday afternoon you can't hang around for 8 sodding minutes 🤬🤬🤬🤬.
Rant over, but, I will no doubt be ranting again
I get your point, said many times...but we all support Sundland..
I am quiet in normal life, but not at watching....
I guess you are referencing apathy, ...
maybe they saw a few last minutes at Roker Park
Stay and cover for them lad

I just see the match as “I’ll be home when I’m home”. I couldn’t even tell you if I get home 15 mins earlier or later than normal on any given day. And I bus it. If you’ve got a car you’ve got even less excuse to wanna leave early.

I go to watch the footie. I’m in my seat 15 mins before kick off. I don’t drink in the ground unless it’s an evening game so rarely get up to piss. I stay till the very end and if they have played well, stay till they have left the field.

I do this because I can. I can’t understand why some leave early or spend half the time pissing or drinking, but it’s 100% up to them. None of my business how others live their life as long as it’s legal.

I'm in my seat an hour before kick off, do i win? 😜

I have never understood the mentality of going to a match and leaving early, especially so when the game is close, but it has definitely crossed my mind that some of the people complaining about it will be the very same ones that arrive 5 minutes after kick off, go to the toilets half way through and then disappear for a pint 5 minutes before half-time.

These threads are repetitive and tedious like...

If you're one of the ones making excuses and leaving early   'Til The End or until I have to sit in my car for an extra 10 minutes

No,
I think they are the same people. And they probably talk at gigs too!

Not interested in why anyone comes in late , going down early at half time or even leaving early , because it’s nothing to do with me ,

Staying till the end , or leaving early doesn’t make you any better or worse of a fan , do what you want to do , normal people don’t care .

Unfortunately the easily offended make it their business to post on here telling everyone they are superior because they stayed and watched the groundsmen cutting the grass ffs.

No one gives a fuck man.
When you’ve had prostate cancer and a radical prostatectomy, going to the toilet becomes a matter of urgency every 30mins or so.

Thats my thoughts as well. Even 30/40 mins, doesnt really matter does it. My day is about being at the game, thats the main purpose of the day so i`m not going to miss part of that because I can spend an extra 15 mins in the place where i spend most of the rest of my week.

It’s the fact they stand on the stairs, in the gangway blocking the views of the people wanting to stay. Give the lads a clap for all the effort they put in man. Selfish
Exactly this. If anything the early leavers do the ‘Til the Enders a favour as it means the roads are less busy. But from 80-85 minutes on they’re blocking the view of others. My little one is 9 and can’t see a thing once the early leavers start.
