You'd think, given the apparent love for this crop of players, supporters would not only want to stay to help the lads get over the line but also show their appreciation for their efforts at full time.

Aye it was last season I believe. I'm sure it said something like "We said 'Til The End and we meant it" and then there was a follow up survey about peoples travel to and from games etc etc. Not sure what came of it but it was definitely brought up by the club. We went through a phase in the championship where it was diabolical.

Thanks for that. Yep that's rather clear.
I know years ago, when they were first looking into have pre match surfers and displays the club studied the leaguexand concluded we were 'worst' for late arrivals. And added the recognised 'issue' of early leavers too. That was when Quinny was here.

The ground was half empty when the players were still on the pitch walking round showing their appreciation.
This wasn’t the case with West Ham, Brentford, and others including Mags , Arsenal.
On Saturday we didn’t have the twelfth man for some reason and there’s plenty of comments elsewhere expressing views.
Till the End doesn’t resonate with a sizeable number. It would be interesting to get feedback from one of the players as I’d guess there was a conversation afterwards in the dressing room “ what the phuck did we do “ . Some our lads new to the area would be confused. They deserve better for giving us what we’ve got.

The players do notice it he said and they do wonder why people leave in such droves.
"Til the end" must only apply to play off semi finals or playing Newcastle.

In a crowd of 46,000 people there are 46,000 different reasons why someone might want to leave early.
It's not a prison and they don't need an excuse.
I'm lucky enough to be able to get away from my seat quickly at full time as well as have someone who is willing to come and park up and wait for me to take me home. So I've no need to leave early.
On the other hand I've a family member who struggles to walk and has to leave before it gets too busy.
I can get away at the end now but when I go to the cup games and forced to sit in the east stand I'm always astonished by how long it takes to leave the stadium, even when it's half empty. If you're towards the back and not at he end of the row it can take 10, 15 minutes before you move an inch. Used to sit at the back of the North stand back in the day and it was like that there too.
When I do leave and walk past the park and ride queue I always think to myself there's no way I'd be willing to stand in that - I'd be leaving at half time. And from what I hear, the metro is horrific.
The match situation drives a lot of this too. Hardly anyone left early for the derby or the Arsenal or City games. More people are more willing to put up with the stuff mentioned above for the types of game. Like it or not, expectations shift very quickly and the Palace game has already come to be seen as nothing special for a lot of people - different topic, but that's why I'm sceptical about expanding the stadium - what seems incredible now can become run of the mill next week and demand will tail off a bit when that happens.
Honestly I get even more annoyed by people arriving late to their seats at kick off, especially after half time where thousands do it, getting in everyone's way.

People need to feed back to the club if they've asked for reasons why people are piling out early. They've said the players notice and they are wondering why so this might prevent any damaging of the great relationship that has been building between the club/players and fans.

As I said above, this is more annoying for me.
Loads of criticism for those who prioritise getting home sheepish. Very little for those who prioritise their half time pint over watching the end of the first half/ start of the second.
First five minutes of the second half sometimes look like COVID era matches.
