Durham vs Worcester - One Day Cup

100% record at South North but don’t like it.
Difficulty in parking
Nice little ground but all on one level and specialist members area if you are not in the front row poses viewing difficulties
The members facilities are restricted to a small marquee and the toilets are portaloos
All South North are after in my opinion is pandering to the corporate business sector who frequent a cricket match once in a blue moon The ethos and bias is all geared towards the corporate dollar at Gosforth
I am also not enamoured by the fact we are playing home games outside of the county the team represents

From what I understand this is exactly why Durham play there. DCC play at South North who at the same time host a large corporate event. DCC charge South North a big fee for playing at their ground who offset that by the corporate event and make a profit. Most of the people at the corporate event aren't interested in the cricket and just get pissed and have a feed, as you do. Bottom line both South North and DCC make a profit on the match. Supposedly the DCC players like playing there, as the atmosphere is better, which is probably true as its a tight compact club ground. If there's 2,000 in its rammed.

Predictably Look North decided that seeing as how the game was being held in a suburb of Newcastle then perhaps they should expand their coverage from the usual caption with the wrong score on.
From what I saw of it there didnt appear to be that many spectators there other than the corporates.

There was a brief interview with Marcus North who stated that he would like to see Gosforth hosting a four day game in the near future.
