Durham ‘100 per cent committed’ to bringing Hundred franchise to north east

I actually thought he meant john hall, i forgot the world is even more awful now
John Hall to me is what Thatcher is to the miners. Horrible man for what he did to Durham and other local clubs.
well that the double edged sword isnt it, not sure i can be part of that, you just know that lot up the road will be tied into us if it happens
If I hear of any sort of Mag/Saudi investment into Durham that's me and the wife finished with the club. I'm not a fan of North and Bostock to start with, but I'd not accept that. I don't many members would to be honest

absolutley, We'd still have ice Hockey in Durham too had he not got his sporting club idea in his head,

think our time as supporters could be sadly coming to an end then, the lad who told me he'd seen their Sporting Director at the riverside is someone i trust their word on too, despite me saying bollocks, i just didnt want to believe it

I've just started to go back to the ice hockey this year down at Billingham and enjoying it very much. As for Durham Cricket, what will be will be, if it happens then I'd happily hand my membership card back as would the wife. I don't wish to be associated with Newcastle United or Saudi Arabia

not been to hockey in year's since the Vipers disbanded, i cant take the moral high ground on following a team with newcastle in the name in really, as my parents and friends just moved from following the Wasps to the then Cobras, it was mostly all the Durham lads in the team anyway

but yes the saudi blood money and the inevitable tie in to the football team will be too much for me

Me, my aunty and uncle stopped going in 1996 when the Wasps packed in. Went to one game between then which was a testimonial for one of the Johnson brothers. The wife long before I met her watched some ice hockey up at Newcastle for a short while but we've both got on board at Billingham this year and absolutely love it. I've missed it and finally have got the buzz back although it'll never be the same as Durham. I watched Durham Dragons earlier this year and it was good to catch up with so many Wasps fans and seeing folk wearing the old shirts etc brought back some good memories. I was up at Whitley Bay a few weeks ago watching Billingham, that place hasn't changed

Bostock says in that article that he is preparing a case to put to the ECB. He also needs to be preparing a case to put to the members and supporters. I wonder if he’ll put in an appearance at the meeting on 16th Jan?

I wonder if Marty will update us at all about whats happening over the winter he is basically the only "journalist" left who covers the club.
Bostocks interview is obvously a briefing to let bits n peices out in the public domain.

No chance. He's in it for himself along with North, they wanted to big ECB jobs and have so far failed with doing so

Questions need to be raised regardless of who’s there. We can’t sleepwalk into those scum bags getting their hands on our club

Yes, but he will have to be very confident of gaining support from elsewhere if the views on here reflect those of the majority of members and supporters. Which I suspect they might.
They are not bothered what the old style county members want. Like at most counties it will be sorry but thats the direction cricket is going in and basically they can afford to loose money they take from memberships.
If you look at Australia the traditional state cricket basically has closed down again from the end of November to February so its just the big bash franchise cricket. Its easier for them as they only have 6 first class teams.
