Admiral Taverns might have had Flanagan's when it first opened but it changed hands at least twice since then. Who would have thought trying to turn a pub in Sunderland, least of all on that corner, into a replica of The Temple Bar would turn out in hindsight to be a daft idea?
It was owned by a Veil Grove Limited in the months leading up to lockdown and even they had two installments of management and staff, having allowed the first lot to fuck them by sinking hundreds of pounds of free booze a night for the staff and their mates, general neglect, etc. They brought in someone else to build the place up but even still it was dying on it's arse and lockdown will have done them a favour. There's no way they still have it. Skint and probably sold to the first person who took an interest.
