the release date has been steadily moving back for months, checked Amazon this morning and the date has moved FORWARD to 9th, tomorrow!!

That date is for the PS3 yes, makes no sense at all what is happening with that game.
A similar thing happened with Gothic 4 and I eventually got it on the Steam Xmas sale. It appeared for general sale mid Jan and is now £12 on Amazon (PC), these distributors seem to know nothing about their business

Hmmm really not sure what to think of this. Looks nice but I don't have a fuckign clue whats going on!?!?! I'm "the champion" with my family, trying to get into a city, manage to get in and a year passes (? wtf?), then im looking to go to the deep steps thingy again?!?!? wtf? why?
Seems very linear so far tho I've only done the first bits (again cos the DEMO was the f***ing first few levels of the proper game).

What I fear is that the story and characters have diminished somewhat. That was what set DA:O apart from the rest and I haven't heard great things about this so far.

It's worse than that.
Been playing Dragon Age a bit more and it's getting a bit better. But it still doesn't seem to have any "flow" about it. Ie you get a mission then just click on the place and do that mission. Not much exploring or wandering around in it (tho I guess they removed all that stuff because of the impatient twats moaning about it from Baldurs Gate).
It's canny hard tho, every fight just seems to have 6 million blokes appear and you don't have the crowd control capabilities you had in the first one so everyone ends up just getting twatted.
Beat my first Dragon already anarl, only done a few missions and I'm fighting them already!?! As per usual, epic fight and it drops fuck all worth having. Why o why give us a big boss thing and then give us fuck all for beating it?!?!?

Unlike many I enjoyed the first one, wrong thread for any sort of discussion but I always sell games once completed but I repurchased this one from GOG as I thought I'd get many more hours out of it, probably after the second one now like

Quite enjoying DA now once you get into it a bit. Still seems like I'm just heading along a pre-told story like, unlike the old Baldurs Gate's which was much more open play whilst still having a main plot to it (and much better).
Loots a bit shit so far, everything that drops is mainly for your main character only so you end up with a lot of shite that you cannot use for other characters or yours due to not having the stats (ie going Fighter instead of Rogue).
Picked a fighter and not really enjoying any of the level up options. They are pretty boring as ferk I also fucked up on my characters face a bit and he looks a bit gay now cos his cheeks look a bit too plump on some of the cutscenes
