He's certainly made some mistakes. He is human after all. Let him cast the first stone who never makes mistakes even in their areas of expertise.

Not sure what your point is with the second paragraph though. He admitted he felt he'd let people down. Surely that's praiseworthy?

Yes we've got worse but that doesn't mean he isn't trying to improve us.

Jack Ross was failing to deliver the targeted points haul, the fans wanted him out, and SD sacked him. Positive move.

He then hired who he considered to be the best candidate of those that applied and those that stated they were interested in the job. Would you have preferred him to have hired someone that he didn't consider to be the best candidate? Again, positive move IMO.

Clearly appointing PP hasn't been working yet, but for all we know the plans PP has for the January window will make the difference like signing Gabbiadini did the last time we were in this division. Still too early to judge IMO.

A point of contention that I almost agree with is how long it took to put a new scouting system in place. I, like many others, would have preferred this to have happened much quicker, but perhaps there were legitimate reasons it took so long? Perhaps it was important to keep the books balanced without the extensive scouting network in order to attract investors? Perhaps that's just how long it takes to formulate a plan for such a network and find the right people for the vacancies? We just don't know, but even without that information a lot of people are using it as evidence against SD. That's a step too far for me. For me this falls into the "hmm, not enough information to judge properly" category.

SD had been criticised for not having"football people" helping him make the decisions. He has now hired a couple of people who fit that description. Positive move again.

Fitness of our players had seemed to be an issue, so we've hired a new fitness coach. Positive.

We all want the club to be doing better than it is, and tensions are obviously running higher the longer we go without winning, but none of us know what's going on behind the scenes and like @pwsafc said a few posts ago, some people are lashing out at anyone and everything to do with the club at the moment and some are even twisting every bit of positive news coming out of the club and misrepresenting quotes to fit an anti-SD agenda.

My second paragraph was because some are suggesting Donald has only made one mistake (Parkinson) whereas Donald seemed to admit well before Parkinson was a thing that there were bits he hadn't got right. Yes it is a positive that he was honest enough to admit last season was a personal failure for him but that's only really good if he then puts it right, and this season it hasn't been put right at all, it's got worse. You say he'd made some mistakes, I'd say by now, with hindsight he has made a lot of mistakes. More damning he's got almost nothing in the "got that right" category. As the owner of a business you've got to be getting more right than wrong and he's nowhere near doing that.

Getting a couple of non execs who can attend meetings isn't a massive positive, we need full time people providing expertise and making decisions, as it has we haven't even replaced Davison, in fact it appears that no one in any sort of position of power at the club even works out of Sunderland full time. You can argue whether being "on site" full time is a requirement, but I'm personally very surprised if Donald thinks the whole thing can be run remotely.

I'll grant you, some just desperately look for negatives, but very few (about the same as the number who desperately look for positives) but I think the majority are right to be frustrated and annoyed with this set up and it isn't purely a reaction to a few poor games

I see the spineless wanker has kept his head down. Couldn’t stop talking when changing seats, once the going gets tough, he fucks off. Piss poor like his managerial appointment. He’s probably busy checking the CVs and references of the journalists so he can make some other shit up, whilst questioning RAWAs education in footballing business.

You obviously can’t hence why your saying I’m clueless when your not even talking about the right game
My joy what? I'm trying to see it from your point of view here, but you're coming across as an incoherent, rambling mess. Help a fellow poster out mate.

Has the cowardly onion-head-hairstyled one said owt yet?

Nah he's in Bin Ladens cave

Scared of us calling him names IIRC

Look mate just to clear it up, you clearly replied to someone who had said that JM saved a header from Daryl Murphy, with the chances we created. Now whilst you then went on to mention that we hit the woodwork twice, which indeed we did at Bolton, you can’t accuse of others of not reading when you never read or understood the original referring to the home game just gone.

If we could move the goalposts as often as this lad then Grigg might hit the target once in a while.

The post before that was about Ross’s game v Bolton , someone else mentioned a Murphy chance v us, I’m a safc fan I don’t take any notice or remember who had there chances, he had signed for them at that point. The whole conversation was about ROSS’S game v Bolton just to clear that up

What is My joy what ? Your quote meant to mean . I’m not all over the place at all, the whole conversation you decided to get involved in was Ross’s game away to Bolton , it doesn’t get any more simple than that

It's all lip service from him , the amount of contradictions if you want to call them small and big just points to that fact , pp the best man for the job , behave man , he was cheap and available. He s dragging us down as his 1 and only plan for a quick flip on promotion blew up in his face .
An unrealistic points target again to appease fans and buy time
