All a fan can do is show they're unhappy by not attending. I stopped going after the first game v oxford as i just couldnt stomach another season of hope and being absolutely deflated every other week. I got a few dickheads on here giving me stick for it but as i said at the time, as a fan, my only course of action to show my unhappiness is to stop going and paying for my tickets.

Tbh its actually been a bit of a relief as i now dont have to convince the 2 younguns that we are gonna play well this week, we are gonna win, we are gonna move up the league etc etc knowing that its going be be another turgid afternoon for us. Awful that i feel this way about my club.
Everybody has their own breaking point, lasting to the start of this season is a decent effort considering what's gone before. Absolutely no point in doing anything that makes you miserable, except for perhaps going to work.

I have to admit, I feel like Sunderland fans have a short memory on this one. Doesn't matter how much of his own coin he did or didn't spend to buy the club, we are still in business and that is debatable whether we would have been had it not been for him coming in.

He's made mistakes (clearly), but I think had our fan base not been so fickle he would have worked it out. Now I think he just wants shot of the whole thing.

Managers and players have long said there is something not quite right with the club, never thought it would be the fickle fans.
Last season there was upwards of 30,000 fans per home game and an away following that would dwarf some of the clubs in L1 home support. How exactly does that translate into ‘fickle’?

There was another consortium that wanted to buy the club at the same time it was sold to Donald. You can argue we're still in business, but it certainly appears that it's not being run properly based on our results this season.

How dare you call our fans fickle, we are 15th in league one if you hadn't noticed. Unreal.

For me set a time for a 5-10 minute protest, the rest of time we support the lads.
Say 10-20 minutes of game, has to be longer than 1 but no more than 5 minutes.
No owner or manager will ever make me not go, we aren’t the mags.

quick edit is that’s not a pop at those who have reached breaking point, I do understand that.

:lol::lol::lol:

Back to he saved the club are we? Short paid off the debt and donakd got the deal of a lifetime.

And it's the fans fault hes made a pig's ear of it? Heard it all now? Have you attended many games under his tenure?

Surprising amount of sympathy from our mates up the road. Luke Edwards mentioning us for once, getting support from Mags and Lads fans alike. Possible Telegraph article incoming?

Hes treated us all as mugs and taken us for a ride and you call us fickle wow

Probably yeah, but makes you wonder about all that good PR early on with seats etc.

That wasn’t good PR, that was tight blokes taking advantage of the fans good nature to get some slave labour. It was that which gave me 100% confirmation of my suspicions and that we would never Meaningfully progress with them in charge

Read the other thread. All those 4K Sunderland fans should sing from the 1st minute, Donald out and not stop.
Not that I have any right to tell people what to do, but they should sing in support of the team first and foremost, then if we go 1 or 2 down start with the Donald out stuff. Starting with aggro from minute 1 won't help the players on the pitch.

Yes, but he has quite clearly used the word "battered" in reference to their new chant about us. Sad as fuck man, the last thing we need is sympathy from him and them.
