Safc's financial situation is still dire and 30000 gates ? 22000 st holders paying average of 15 per game.
Therefore 8000 paying average of 20 per game. Not vast amounts - maximum 500k per game. Ndong and Papy taking 60k of that with Catts and Oviedo taking near 90k.

Our financial situation is more desperate which way too many on here don't seem to understand.
Donald and Methven aren't minted so money is not going to be thrown at it.

There are currently discussions going on with the Council to get the business rates bill down from 2 million to 500k.
Savings like this are obviously very important judging by the way CM spoke on Friday, and not shifting the 2 aresholes was obviously a blow.

Before we can offer new contracts, we need to free up money, the only way to do that is to off load the high earners in January.

If these lads are in their last year that's dangerous.

Surely the owners could take a little bit themselves in order to secure young players like maja who will be looked at.

I'm all for self sustaining but some situations are slightly pressing. Not convinced the owners are able to spend much if their own dosh

They don't have it TBF. At the start of this process, there were worries about the owners actual finances to be able to run a club of this size

They are hoping to get is self sustainable and that's a good thing however, there needs to be cash injection along the way and not to just rely on parachute funds.

I fully expect us to take out a loan of some sort before January.
 
These 2 owners will sell next year IF we get promoted, if not we are doomed that is a financial fact

I agree, they want to steady us out, get us promoted and then take it from there. If they achieve what they set out to achieve and sell for a profit, leaving us in a healthier position then I don’t think many would object to them making a profit.
 
I didn’t realise that the financial state was still as precarious until reading that article.
I’d love us to invest more but wouldn’t want another financial mess by trying to push the boat out.
Will be a very interesting January.
