And improving is the absolute significant point, some seem to expect perfection already
too many think all we have to do is turn up.
It don't work like that I'm afraid.

Exactly. We are in League 1 playing other teams in League 1. They are our level as it stands.too many think all we have to do is turn up.

And what have we signed?Exactly. We are in League 1 playing other teams in League 1. They are our level as it stands.
Or offer new contracts to Maja, Honeyman, Gooch etc.So this statement of we can afford to let Cattermole and Oviedo stay is probably at the expense of our ability to bring in new blood !

Fookin billshit.....30k through the gate, 40m in parachute payments...
Taking the Fookin Piss....
Our financial situation is more desperate which way too many on here don't seem to understand. We are desparate for a proper center half.

Pure guesswork this mindI think the plan is, SD and CM are involved in getting us promoted, then when a bigger investment is needed JS takes over and he will ultimately own the club. I’ve been careful as to what I’ve shared since SD and JS visited me dad, and I’m not going to change that, but it’s certainly the impression I got
Surely the owners could take a little bit themselves in order to secure young players like maja who will be looked at.Reading between the lines...
Before we can offer new contracts, we need to free up money, the only way to do that is to off load the high earners in January.
If these lads are in their last year that's dangerous.
So what’s happened to the £35m parachute money? Intended for exactly this purpose? We all know it’s not sustainable in league one, but the whole point of those payments is to allow the transition.

I'm all for self sustaining but some situations are slightly pressing. Not convinced the owners are able to spend much if their own dosh

I agree, they want to steady us out, get us promoted and then take it from there. If they achieve what they set out to achieve and sell for a profit, leaving us in a healthier position then I don’t think many would object to them making a profit. That will be true as they don't have the money to push up the league's. They are here to get us self sustainable and therefore increase the value of the club.
They don't have it TBF. At the start of this process, there were worries about the owners actual finances to be able to run a club of this size
They are hoping to get is self sustainable and that's a good thing however, there needs to be cash injection along the way and not to just rely on parachute funds.
I fully expect us to take out a loan of some sort before January.
He mentioned that as something that’s being looked at, it sounded as though discussions were on-going and it’s likely to happen to me. Just my interpretation mindStadium naming rights up soon I think.
