Cheers, we're at surfside.Nice mate, you’ll all love it. For Universal we stayed in the Dockside Inn Endless Summer. Was a lovely hotel as well, and only 5 min shuttle to the Universal parks. Landed just after 5am this morning and back home now.

Labour Day weekend, one of the few "bank holidays" that the American's get.massive queues. Might be because the Universal leg of the holiday strayed into September?
Yeah, its cracking.Velocicoaster wins for the best coaster at those parks for me now. Thought it was tremendous
The shuttle buses from Universal stop at Surfside before Dockside. Just over the road from each other.Cheers, we're at surfside.
Labor Day was the day we transitioned from Disney to Universal, didn’t notice anywhere more busy than any other day tbh (surprisingly).Labour Day weekend, one of the few "bank holidays" that the American's get.

Wasn't a fan of the Hulk (mentioned in the same post earlier) - far to shakey now, needs a re-track
Its the whole weekend really though, so from Friday to Tuesday would have been busy, I expect.Labor Day was the day we transitioned from Disney to Universal, didn’t notice anywhere more busy than any other day tbh (surprisingly).
Honestly can’t say I noticed much difference to be honest mate, all the parks were very busy throughout - it was just some of the bigger thrill rides at our Universal leg which were unexpectedly quiet with not huge wait times. We did Epic on the Tuesday straight after Labor Day and it was rammed, but Stardust (imo easily the best ride there) often had queue times of less than 30 mins throughout the day and sometimes as little as 15 or less. Harry Potter, Mario and others on the other hand were mental, HP especially which had upto 3 hours at one point. It was the same in Islands of Adventure with the likes of Hulk and Velocicoaster having equally short queue times, while Hagrid’s ride again was often 2 hours. The Disney parks the week before had much bigger queue times for their thrill rides, but in terms of people wandering about the parks it wasn’t that noticeably different in terms of busyness. I put the Disney queues down to the fact there are generally less thrill rides per park in them. Dudley’s Rick Saw Falls in IoA was the biggest queues in that park, maybe because you get soaked to death and everybody was roasting aliveIts the whole weekend really though, so from Friday to Tuesday would have been busy, I expect.
We did 2 weeks with that in the middle a few years back, and it was mega for about 3 days.
Then IIRC we had Storm Urma the next day, and then 3 days where I've never seen the parks so quiet afterwards.
That Mission Space is horrible - I thought I was going to have a panic attack. When you are closed in the screen comes really close to your face and the seat is nigh on impossible to sit straight when you are tall. And that’s before it starts to move!!The coasters in Disney aren’t at the extreme end of the scale. Guardians is fast and brilliant, but there’s no big drops or loops. Same for Tron.
I would say Rock & roller, and Everest are more “extreme” than those 2 and they are pretty tame by Universal standards. The most extreme ride Disney ever had was the original Mission Space, they eventually had to dial it back because too many people were ill, and nobody would go on it.
It was awful wasn't it? I had to lie down afterwards and my back was in a bad way for days. No way I'm going on that again. That Mission Space is horrible - I thought I was going to have a panic attack. Yeah, my back was fucked when I got off Mission Space, the G force compressed it or something. Felt sick anarl.?? Are you mixing it up with Space Mountain, I could understand that hurting your back.
Mission Space is in Epcot.
