Dicks future in doubt again

Don't think the Chairman will be worrying over this matter tonight.
The global financial crash is staring him in the face and as a hedge fund manager he will have taken a big hit today with more heavy losses likely.
I don't think he's going to pull out any more cash.

In Ellis' game of chicken there will only be one winner. The winner is not only playing with the short term future of this club, but the long term. The next 5-10 could be disastrous for us.

Raised the ante substantially with those quotes. Can't imagine Short being too pleased when he reads them given the guff he wrote in the programme.

He's been doing the same for years. Bring in a manager to clean up the mess/win enough points to stay up. Then promise it's all going to be different before refusing to spend on quality and turning them into a fall guy by twisting figures about expenditure.

I said this a couple of weeks ago.....he's bitten off more than he can chew in DA......no ones falling for it and DA is too big a name/character to put up with his shit.

All the snippets being released about how this club is being ran and you still have a pop at Poyet, also Scocco was being scouted well before Poyet came here, nothing to do with him.

I actually read what Poyet said about DOF and Sunderland's problems. Have you read it his comments?

sure he won't like the negative criticism that comes with 40k people
Telling him to fuck off every other week.
The blokes a charlatan, he finally has someone with some nous and he's f***ing him off
Pound for pound Gus brought us more success than any manager this century, including Peter Reid. Reidy had Q&P...Gus had toilet, more or less. Yet you slag him off???
any idiot could see Gus was operating with one hand tied behind his back, he had a vision of how we could play to achieve success but wasn't backed by the board, Dick is getting the same shit now. Few on here need to start eating their words and realise Shorts garbage in the match day programme was condescending at best.

I've said for a while when things turn bad, the manager goes as soon as it turns to the board getting stick.

If what you're saying is true, it seems a bit strange that he appointed Advocaat though: ideally he'd want a 'yes man', someone younger with less experience who would toe the party line, rather than a vastly experienced old head who was considering retiring and really has nothing to lose from telling it how it is.

Whilst I'm really uncomfortable with the current position, I can't help but feel that the press (particularly certain areas of the local press) are pouring petrol on the flames here, absolutely desperate for a negative story about SAFC.

If Advocaat does walk, that's not a very ringing endorsement of the players from last season. The shit he must say under his breath at training is probably pure gold.

Seems inevitable to me that he won't last very much longer. The list of candidates for the role is going to be pretty depressing.

Absolutely. With the time of the season and position we are in. Somebody like allardyce would h fortunately be by far our best bet. But I doubt he'd come anyway.
