Dicks future in doubt again

Whats the point in hiring a man for his knowledge and experience if you're not going to take a blind bit of notice of anything he says? If short isn't going to listen he may just as well manage the club himself. Whatever happens, if advocaat walks, we're done.

Well then he should consider his position and decide either to get on with the job with the restrictions or leave. It is ludicrous to suggest he is unhappy to the press to pressurise Short to divvy up more cash.

I'm pretty disappointed with Advocaat to be honest.
I think he is absolutely spot on. He is telling the fans he is being hamstrung by lack of funds and leaving them in no doubt as to where the (literally) buck stops.

Are you nuts?

Maybe he's giving Short one last chance to stump up and deliver on his word.

I'm more disappointed in short than
Anyone else.

sure he won't like the negative criticism that comes with 40k people
Telling him to fuck off every other week.
The blokes a charlatan, he finally has someone with some nous and he's f***ing him off

He's not a charlatan, he's a businessman. The problem he's facing is that football isn't like any other business on the planet. :D

Feel sorry for Dick, hopefully Ellis backs him with the funds he needs to make sure we don't end up as the Premier Leagues whipping boys............if not then Dick will be off, and we'll end up with some other sub standard manager going through the motions, which we don't need, we've had enough of that shit tbf.

Raised the ante substantially with those quotes. Can't imagine Short being too pleased when he reads them given the guff he wrote in the programme.

The press conference is on SAFSEE now... just watched it, he looks pretty cheesed off. Apparently he carried a piece of paper in with 'don't laugh' written on it in Dutch.

Yah... watched it.

He's pretty direct and professional about what he said, but you can tell he's a bit worked up under the shell.

Honestly, I'm not sure what to think with De Guzman's camp saying he's knocked us back because they think Dick is leaving... is that actual agent quotes or some shitehawk spin?

Ball firmly back in short's court then. Only this time he hasn't got the backing of all fans he had previously if advocaat walks

It does seem like advocaat got the wrong impression about how much funds he was getting. Maybe Gray wasn't entirely off the mark with his comment - in the recent Poyet interview he pretty much said Dick Advocaat hadn't been given the players he was promised...

Whilst it's a worrying trend, we've heard this a number of times before.

Maybe not, but for the first time fans might just turn on him instead of the managers he's sacked.

Advocaat isn't daft, i don't think he should be underestimated either. He knows exactly what he's doing

Dick could be he smartest bloke on the planet but he can't get rid of Short, nor can we.

Aye, you're well into the end-game at this point. It's coming to a head.
