I'm more into this appointment than I would be for Hodgson etc. Young manager who's improved year on year and isn't afraid to take on a challenge. Aberdeen play intense football, high pace and in the face of the opposition.

Interested to know what @Perryqhill and @The Cabbage think?

I'd take him in a heartbeat. Best of the names being bandied about but I have a feeling he's waiting for the Rangers job. Could ruin his career before he's started coming here. We literally need a miracle worker. Thread bare squad due to relegation and preseason fast approaching (do we go with Moyes plans for preseason or let the new man pick something last minute?) if we leave the appointment too late we are in the same boat as last season where Moyes didn't have a full preseason with the lads to work out who is who and what needs doing.

Agree with that marra. Don't pay much attention to Scottish footy but his Aberdeen performance has won plaudits over the past year or so. If he's driven, progressive and a good man manager he'll do for me. The transfer knowledge would be a worry to an extent but I'd expect that the club has most of the groundwork done by this point. And with the inevitable - and perfectly correct - use of the loan system that is coming, I'd expect it'll be the contacts of Simon Wilson that do the heavy lifting.
 
Just had a look on an Aberdeen forum, most of them are shitting it in case he leaves which is a good thing I suppose.

A lot of them are slagging us off though. f***ing Aberdeen. :lol: We've took more fans to away games than they get at Shittodrie, f***ing sheep shagging scrotes.
 
They really don't like us on that forum like, what did we ever do to them? We even gave them good money for that f***ing Russell Anderson clown a few year back.

I've said it on about five different threads but I think this will be an awful awful appointment like, absolutely not surprised one bit if he does get the job though. Bain a Scot, being advised by Walter Smith and David Moyes two Scots, and their number one target is surprise surprise a Scot. Reeks of unimaginativeness/jobs for the boys.
 
Thinking of this McInnes fella, I'm sure he scored against us at the SOL for West Brom during the 19 point season.
