Means nowt that man. Chance of premier league football and mega money no one would turn that downBig SAFC fan, as is his dad. He's still only 22 so hopefully a move isn't rock solid concrete guaranteed.
Good pointsMay be in the minority but wouldn’t be that fussed if he left provided we get a good fee. Good player on his day but gets away with a lot with the fans for being a local lad. Realistically we need to sell a few to find the improvements we need.
And the moment he left. Well we all know. Can't we hire Sam for a few months to train our lot in fitness coaching? He kept Kirchoff going, ffs...
Sounds very similar to some of the comments made about Jordan Henderson when he was here. That shift Wharton put in at anfield is something that Neil just isn’t capable of like
He’s a decent player Neil but people are going way overboard about him like
Wharton is more mobile and I think he’s a better passer
For a night out?Off to Liverpool i heard.
His Dad told @DonaldDownTheWing he was off tooRemember when Clarke got injured and people said we wouldn't see him again....
I’ll give you more mobile but better passer……. never in a million years. Dan Neil is mustard mate, surely everyone can see it nowThat might be because Wharton is significantly more mobile and a better passer
Stats done lie regarding passes. Always had Wharton down as a more defensive minded defender compared to Neil too, as the stats show there too.
Also nobody will convince me playing in a midfield two with Ekwah being the other is beneficial for them.
The minutes he gets by starting every game are his main source of player development . He's been thrown in at Championship level and never looks out place , rarely makes an error. If any club offers him Ross Stewart money he should and will take it .I might agree with this if he had someone to learn from here but it's him leading a team if kids. For his career he'd be much better off in a team where he could learn from other pros imo. I think he'd look even better in a better team.
And let's not forget the wages we pay are nowhere near what he could be getting.
Shame but at least we get to see Styles in his natural central midfield position now to see what we have.
We don't do "knocks" where a player is out for one game do we. Fuck we doing in training.
It’s criminal that we rely on some players so much and don’t have adequate replacements for rest/injury.Played an incredible amount of games the last 2 seasons, even with nothing to play for he'll be a big miss
Someone somewhere is surely working on a STID-inspired research paper into the trauma of football fans.It is funny how every player seems to be leaving without any actual evidence of it happening. It's like a weird defense mechanism.
Neil seems to paste him quite badly in the passing stakes.
Henderson was a better player than Neil. Playing at a far higher level at a far younger ageSounds very similar to some of the comments made about Jordan Henderson when he was here.

I’m not saying Neil is a bad player by any stretch of the imagination like but he’s nowhere near as good as people on would have you believe like. Imo obviously
There were people last year saying he’s get in liverpools midfield ffs. It’s complete madness.
