Nearly 23,000 tickets sold to home supporters'.
We must surely get over the 25,000 mark at this rate, which would be decent for a televised game.

I’d love to go but unfortunately I’m rostered for oncall cover this weekend. Already asked for a swap twice in last four weeks, asking a third time might be seen as taking the piss a bit. I’m also covering the Wembley playoff final weekend too, so don’t want to risk calling in favours owed too early!

Wonder what percentage of the 24k season ticket holders have decided not to go ? This is more to do with expectation not being met than the price of the ticket or kick off time on a Saturday night imo. Obviously not for everyone.

People were eulogising over the 5.30 Doncaster ko time, because we won. No work or school the next day either. Our home midweek evening kick off league matches have been around 28k. People have given up on a team that is limited but fought back many times this season and cannot be accused of not giving 100% , unlike the last two campaigns.

Taking each game in context, we should have beaten Fleetwood hands down by half time. Ok , we didn't , but I've spoken to several people who went to the match from the Fylde Coast, and they all said what a good team we looked. They couldn't believe we got beat. Even tactics were mentioned as superior and that it was a freak result. I agree with that . We got robbed. Some of our fans say we were pathetic. Are they not just looking at the result, the league and the opponents name ? I'm not saying it's acceptable, but lost at Burton 2-1 this season and were worse than at Fleetwood. Wasn't a meltdown gate wise after that game.

Southend was piss poor application from a change of line up and some not looking sharp enough, some lacking confidence and others not over exerting themselves. This display was shocking. You could argue we should have pushed for 3rd spot to get Doncaster with our strongest line up, but obviously a decision was taken to not do this. Right or wrong, we are not the first side to be embedded in a play off situation and adopt this approach.

These two defeats have affected the gate no end. If we had won and drawn, you can almost guarantee 10k extra sales by this point. We played well v Pompey with 41k and no one was complaining too much. The bigger picture was that we were always likely to be in the play offs if won , lost or drew the last two games. I agree Southend was dire, but Fleetwood was not. The first half was as good as if not better than at Accrignton. They nullified us with hard work in the second half and scored twice from two chances, albeit the last touch of the game for the winner. This does not warrant 15-20k missing fans in my opinion.

What you need to remember is for any given league game a certain number of season ticket holders won’t go but will be counted in the attendance. Obviously not for play off.

22k sold.
Be around 25k with away and hospitality.
Hopefully have a late surge tomorrow
That's a bit surprising in some ways, but the football has been turgid, and we've got worse recently. One of the reasons I'm not bothering with the 640 mile round trip. That and I've got a lot of spend on other things this month, so relatively skint.
