Crowd for sat

Aye, I think a few things are contributing to a potentially low (by our standards) crowd. Some, as you say, simply aren't being entertained. There's a hard core who will go anyway but some, especially after the last few seasons, wanted and expected to see us be one of the better teams in the division. In terms of league position we are, but they'll have expected a better, more convincing brand of football, dishing out a few hammerings along the way and we simply haven't delivered that at all, we've staggered over the line having failed to look convincing at home for the majority of the season.

Equally there's the cost, especially when season card payments for next season have just gone out and when, if we get through, there's the expense of Wembley again.

Plus, I keep saying it but I genuinely think that it being the first leg puts people off. If the second leg was at home and they knew they'd turn up to either see us go out or get through, I think more would turn up, the fact they might pay extra to see a game which finishes in yet another draw and decides absolutely nothing will put some of the "floating" supporters off
I agree about the first leg bit. The last two games have tipped some over the edge. The second leg has that extra spice added as you know after that game whether you're going to Wembley or not.

I do think the low crowd is and should be sending a message to the owners which cant be totally ignored.

I don’t want to go . It will probs end in dissapointment , but I’m going. Supporting Sunderland is mostly being let down. But on the occasions we do pull something out of the hat and put in a performance in a big game the highs out weigh the lows . So even if we don’t want to go get yaselves along and create an atmosphere. We are Sunderland going is what we do .

HAWAY THE LADS

How would you expect them to respond?

I think people are just a bit hacked off at how limp we’ve been throughout the season. Barring a few games you wouldn’t call it entertaining. Rightly or wrongly I think the minimum people expect of Sunderland at this level is a bit of enjoyment. 15 1-1 draws is a diabolical output really from Ross and the club given the resources we have relative to everyone else. Turgid as someone else said is a very accurate description and that style of play is down to the manager

Tbf having big crowds this year hasmt made much of a difference. In our 2 highest attended we only managed to score 2 goals

Im just saying owners shouldn't ignore these things. Tbh mate I've always had a strong opinion on managers (either for or against) but I just feel a bit 'meh' when it comes to Ross.

Really want to start giving managers some proper time and and allow them.to make mistakes. But I've struggled with the football this season and. I see no pattern of play or identity on the pitch and feel we've regressed compared to the start of the season which concerns me.

I think a lot of our games have been pretty dull mate, with very little chances being created.

Been some decent games and clearly an improvement but not going to lie I hoped for a lot more. Maybe I was being unrealistic but have been bored in a lot of matches.

Maybe yeah but just seeing the players giving 100% has been class. Catts celebrating goals with scenes in my corner man.. priceless!!

Not silly at all.
Those choosing not to go and have spat their dummies out just because they're disappointed we didn't make the top 2 are pathetic imho.
I'm as disappointed as anyone that we let promotion slip but I will be there and cudnt countenance not being there in the teams hour(and a half) of need.
I have always been ther since 1967. If others choose not to go, for whatever reason, its up to them and no fkr else.
