I've said my piece. Under 35k is an embarrassment that's my initial reaction over the last few days.

But it has to be said, it could also be seen as an un-coordinated protest by our supporters, rightly or wrongly.

I'm shocked it's come to this after the high levels of morale earlier in the season. And I also have to say, completely perplexed. Not seen anything like it amongst our fans.

Two bad results and the toys are out of the pram in a season where we’ve had the club saved , reunited with fan base and break attendance records at this level.
Fast food throw away culture from the best fans in the land ???
It’s really poor and beyond fickle .

Two good showings v Pompey and a return to Wembley will see many fickle fans back onside . Sunderland wasnt built in a day and it will never be repaired with people on strike like this .

Eddie Brimson, a Watford thug, wrote in his book something along the lines of no one comes out of the woodwork like Sunderland, but we certainly know how to quickly disappear again. Whilst he was complimenting, it also suggested how fickle we can be.

I remember thinking he was wrong and how loyal we are , but this last week is showing his perception to be reality .

The club got stung with this after the Walsall farce though mate. I'd honestly use Pompey as a phase, and then if required, use previous purchase history.

Well aye, but all the games apart from Portsmouth have been played now, so if you're going to allow Portsmouth as a phase (where people could just go now and buy their first ticket of the season), you might as well allow any purchase history. Genuinely think we'd struggle to sell 40,000 tickets, so not worth being too restrictive in the phases given the fact that from the second leg we'd only have 10 days until the final in which to get all the phases done (and most will want it done in time to get the tickets posted out to them)
