Crowd for sat

Aye but it'll still be disappointing. Cup games (especially the early rounds) I can sort of understand; I go to them, but some will feel that we're bound to get knocked out later and there's so many games to go to they can't be bothered (still can't explain the low semi final crowd mind).

This one though, if you've paid to go to every league game why would you stop now when the most important game of the season comes around? I know it was a league above, but we had 34,500 for the crystal palace play off, and that was significantly higher than the average attendance. Equally the Sheffield United play off game is still seen as one of the best games at the stadium. Having the first leg at home won't have helped I suppose, people might be keener to go if it was the decisive leg, but I still don't know why you'd go to Rochdale at home and not this. I do realise some will simply not be able to make it, but I'd still expect over 30,000 for this

Maybe people are just fed up that's the only explanation I can give for myself. I'm a sc holder and have renewed for next season, only missed Charlton back in August as on holiday, been to 4 checkatrade games including the final, but I'm not going to this game. I can make it and I can afford it, likewise Wembley if we got there. Guessing there's a few others feeling the same way.

Sorry mate, it’s the biggest game of the season. Forget the last couple of weeks and just focus on the fact we are three games from promotion

Sadly mate, it’s correct. At present, including away support and hosp, we are looking at 23k.

With a fella in charge who thinks playing a Wembley final with no striker on the pitch is the way to go. No thanks

Yet we managed to shift about 10k Extra for the league game the other week. I think the kick off time has screwed us here.

Fair play mate, I'm not one who will criticise, absolutely up to you. Personally I couldn't miss this one, it's vital for the club that we go up either this season or next (if we're still here when the parachute money runs out we're in trouble) and, with no guarantees next season, we've got to try and do it while we have this opportunity. I've been to every home league game and, although I'm also pissed off with how we've played pretty much since December, I'm going to try and do my bit to roar them over the line again. For me, the big games where it really matters are what football is all about, I'm not optimistic but I'm looking forward to it

Or a number of folk have absolutely zero belief in Ross now
Fans were turning up under much worse circumstances mate. Regardless of what you think of the manager, players or owners, it's our club. I'm going because I want us to win. If that doesn't happen then I'll give my opinions on why I think we are where we are. Our fans have always rallied in these situations. We celebrated avoiding relegation for long enough ffs.

That's because people without an online purchase history couldn't buy tickets till 7pm tonight . This actually shows that the people who don't attend often are actually getting behind the lads for this game, I simply can't get my head round that 10k season ticket holders have up to now duffed this game ..

^THIS

My theory is that the SC holders read on here that most won't attend and they were hoping to upgrade to a better seat.

One thing I've often wondered (and I'm not suggesting it's anywhere near 10k by the way), is how many of our season ticket holders are concessions. We've done brilliant prices for younguns, wonder if quite a lot have taken them up on that but won't be taking the kids to this one

That's all true / fair comment. All I can do is offer an explanation as to why some (myself included) are choosing not to attend. My decision was forming whilst walking away from Wembley but any lingering doubts have been extinguished in the weeks/games that have followed.

Mentioned this on the other thread, I wonder if this will and season ticket renewals affect Donald’s decision on Ross’s future should we go out to Pompey

Agreed. I'm not massively in favour of Ross, I think it's very telling that he's seemingly relying on McGeady, a player who is randomly too good for the league, it doesn't suggest his tactics are great. Equally I think we've largely played turgid football in a league where we should be expressing ourselves and taking games to sides with much less resources. None of that matters on Saturday though because it's not about the manager, the players or the owner, it's about our club. Fail to go up and there will be a lot of criticism flying around and a big inquest, but that can all wait whilst promotion remains a possibility

Bang on.
Get behind our club our team no matter what.

Whats the matter is this game not the bright lights of London?
Anything under 35,000 and its poor.

I don't necessarily think that's the case. Perhaps people just haven't organised themselves yet. The price isn't going to go up, so other than securing your seat (which is likely still to be available in a day or two) there's no real incentive to buy early. Plenty of time for the current sales to creep towards 30k ish.

If we fail then Donald has a tough decision to make, stick with his man and back him again or might there be a more obvious candidate available come the time
