Crowd for sat

Yet we managed to shift about 10k Extra for the league game the other week. I think the kick off time has screwed us here.

The kick off time isn’t ideal mate, but we have a history of not selling tickets for big games not covered by a SC.

I know some will have genuine reasons, but a lot have just given up. A decent performance on Saturday and we could be very close to Wembley.

I don't necessarily think that's the case. Perhaps people just haven't organised themselves yet. The price isn't going to go up, so other than securing your seat (which is likely still to be available in a day or two) there's no real incentive to buy early. Plenty of time for the current sales to creep towards 30k ish.
I would agree with that, but most season ticket holders are funny fuckers about "others" sat in there seats.

Kick off time bollocks.
Lets call this.
A fair few lazy arse's will sit in the pub/house and drink there alcohol in comfort and claim they couldnt make it.
Tv will take the numbers down.

That's all true / fair comment. All I can do is offer an explanation as to why some (myself included) are choosing not to attend. My decision was forming whilst walking away from Wembley but any lingering doubts have been extinguished in the weeks/games that have followed.
You're choice, marra. I would never try and tell you you're wrong as you are entitled to make your own mind up.

One thing I've often wondered (and I'm not suggesting it's anywhere near 10k by the way), is how many of our season ticket holders are concessions. We've done brilliant prices for younguns, wonder if quite a lot have taken them up on that but won't be taking the kids to this one

The concessions is a good point mate, and you do regularly see empty seats in the family stand. That said though, I just believe a lot have just given up - which frankly is ridiculous

I was wondering when people would start blaming Ross for not going to games. I guess we lasted nearly a season. I know we're a bit deflated but nowt like getting behind the team when they need it most.
Tbf they have been backed massively the entire year and weve had a lot of games in quick succession

Agreed. I'm not massively in favour of Ross, I think it's very telling that he's seemingly relying on McGeady, a player who is randomly too good for the league, it doesn't suggest his tactics are great. Equally I think we've largely played turgid football in a league where we should be expressing ourselves and taking games to sides with much less resources. None of that matters on Saturday though because it's not about the manager, the players or the owner, it's about our club. Fail to go up and there will be a lot of criticism flying around and a big inquest, but that can all wait whilst promotion remains a possibility
Recruiting players is a concern of mine mate. We seem to have repeated the same mistakes with some. We have a couple of months over the summer to pull it to bits though.

Circumstances don’t matter to the Uber superfans. You can fuck off and never come back as far as they’re concerned. Don’t need day trippers

This is nonsense.
I used to think I was an Uber super fan. Alas. Anyway, I won't be day tripping to wembley either as I'm abroad, guess this means I'm not a traitor or something at least.

And for the biggest game of the season a load aren't going to bother?! I just find it a bit strange.

The signs were there on Saturday night mate when folk were moaning about tickets prices! They were getting their excuses in early.

I hope I’m wrong, but I can see the attendance being around 28k - which frankly is awful. I know the last week has been poor, but ffs

Id argue portsmouth at home in the league was bigger as that would have given us the platform to go on. But people are people and there are probably hundreds of different reasons for people. Nothing queer as folk

It's not strange it's limp wristed and pathetic individuals who will excuse themselves in any number of ways because they don't want to go to games in case we might lose, they fail to realise is that's exactly why you go to games, because anything can happen you might be pissed off, otherwise it would just be Hollywood endings, unfortunately we can't all win all the time.

You need to grow a backbone like

Mate, you are a SC holder and have a genuine reason for not going. No one is having ago at you. In fact, no one is having ago at anyone that can’t go for money/work/other commitments.

The reality is though; ticket sales for the biggest game of the season are poor and the majority won’t be covered by the above. They have just given up, yet will quickly rediscover their support if we get to Wembley.

Ulimately posters like me are just frustrated that the crowd looks like it’s going to be poor. Against Pompey the other week we looked good, so we have a decent chance of taking an advantage to Fratton Park and perhaps getting to the final.

What's the crowd at the minute like?

I haven't got mine yet but only because in not sure I can make it, I'm just gonna get them on the day if I can which I reckon a lot will do.

It’s crackers. A bit like the early leavers argument, you wouldn’t bother with the first 90% of a film or show and then not bother with the last bit.

I know it’s on Sky and people might think it’s over priced but come on it’s £20. A lot of people might spend that on a few pints or a takeaway on a Saturday night.
