It’s a play off game where anything can happen. Managed to rest a few key players, and they will be well aware of the ability (or lack there of) of killing games off. They will want to get one over Portsmouth so I’m gonna for a 2-0 win

Totally agree. But still have to go and support. It’s like a marriage , through thick and thin.

Thick and thin?

Thin and thinner more like.

Everytime the club has set a challenge for the fans this season the fans have responded in great numbers. However the club have failed the supporters (well more the team and manager).

We should have been the Man City of league one with our budget and instead we've limped along since December and ended up 5th. It's pathetic and unacceptable. Added to the fact that we've been shite for years prior to this season, folk are just sick of being let down constantly.

On top of that ST holders are charged for this game meaning some won't go. It's on sky which always knocks a good couple of thousand off the gate and the kick off time is later meaning those who travel from afar may be unable to go.

Historically we usually put in shite performances when we get "bumper" crowds anyway. Might be better with 28k...

If people choose not to go , that’s up to them.

End of .

And there’s no need to justify it to any of the simpletons on here who have seemed to take offence at others not going.

I honestly thought we would reach 40k for this but it’s looking likely to be 30k. Think on the whole there is some apathy creeping in to the fan base. It’s felt like a long season and although I can say I’ve really enjoyed it I’ll be glad when it’s over. I’m not gonna travel a 600 mile round trip when I’m at work 6.00am Sunday morning. I think a lot will feel the same especially with Wembley looming. What I don’t personally understand is locals who have an ST and choose not to go and watch on telly. Although I’ll giess that will be s very small percentage to be fair. I’m off on the second leg so trying to get a ticket for that one.

As long as you can afford it live local it's a f***ing disgrace if you went to Wembley and can't be arsed to go to this game wankers

Still a fair way from 30k

Certainly for people who occasionally choose to go with us it's not about twenty quid. They want to be entertained and see Safc attack teams. They haven't seen that this season hence they are given it a wide berth. I'll be there but it isdissapointing why people are choosing not to go but given Ross's negative tactics this season given that it is div 3 then I can see their point of view.
I demand to be entertained!! What a pathetic excuse for bailing on your team. Good on you for turning out. Bet they'll still care enough to watch it with a few beers

OP is right IMO.

People can do what they want of course, nobody is saying they can’t.

But if you can afford it and don’t have anything else more important to do and you don’t go, you’re not much of a supporter. Doesn’t really make any sense to me.

That's just a list of justifications/excuses.

A proper supporter will support the team in a game as important as this one.
