Don't get me wrong, there's some fantastic people there. Unfortunately the idiots give the club a bad name and have/will stop players signing.

Nationwide problem mate.

Our club has stacks of juniors from age 7 to 14 but then they nearly all drift away. The only ones who stay are those whose Dad played

Many, many years ago, when I was but a babe in arms, my mother was chased out of that ground by angry home spectators because my dad, playing for the opposition, had hit three or four of their players on the head with bouncers.

Apparently she was married to an animal, I was the spawn of Satan, and all of our family (even the ones who lived in Silksworth) should have been shot at birth.

Nowadays, they'd have offered him few shillings to sign for them.

Do Silksworth still have a junior section? This is the lifeblood of any club and the ones that dont have any juniors will struggle further down the line.
