I think seeing how well the promoted teams did this year (burnley aside) shows that with clever recruitment and tactics staying up can be done. It will be hard but we've proved it. The flip side to this is that we've proved it, so now all the other established PL teams will be shitting themselves because they've "got away with it" for 2 seasons, only to see Wolves and West Ham relegated. I think the transfer market will be particularly brutal this season and they won't be taking for granted that these teams will go straight back down. Nor should we. I think that they will struggle, but if they try to do what we did tactically in keeping tight at the back and being solid defensively, with a focus on counter attacking football, supplemented by additions to their squads, they can have a good go of it.
