It's like the world's longest rain delay. You know there's no chance of play realistically but keep fingers crossed anyway that it turns out better than predicted

Not a bad shout in theory and good to see counties not completely giving up on 4 day cricket.

Except hardly anybody turns out to watch the official championship, so I can't see a load of glorified friendlies flying when they desperately need to use the limited time to get some cash through the gates.

I just can't see any sport now in 2020, this is a long haul. Lets just keep fingers crossed for 2021.
