Controversial film opinions

There are loads of “comedian” actors who think all they have to do is turn up and their very presence in a film will have audiences pissing themselves with mirth and rolling in the aisles with laughter, when in reality the films they make are invariably utter, utter shite with a few rare exceptions. They are often Saturday Night Live alum.

Will Ferrell (keeps making the same film with different scenarios)
Steve Carrell
Bill Murray

Loads of others of that ilk.

Had the ring gone to Gandalf, Elrond, Aragon, Saruman or any of the other powerful characters, the ring would have corrupted them and they themselves would replace the dark Lord. It needed to go to someone pure of spirit and with no desire of power at all, like a hobbit from the Shire. Agree about using the eagle as a taxi though
but Gandalf had Shadowfax, case closed.

Hans and his crew in Die Hard didn't kill anyone who didn't deserve it and there was something dodgy about Nakatomi having that kind of money in bearer bonds on the premises
Dunno mind. Takagi didn’t deserve it and although Ellis was a coke head twat I don’t think he deserved a bullet.
I thought Interstellar and Inception were tedious.
Dislike
Temple of Doom is the worst Indiana Jones fillum.
What worse than the kingdom of the crystal skull? I haven’t seen the new one yet like.

Yep, I really don't like ToD, it doesn't feel right. The last two aren't great but do feel like an Indy movie.

Well done. That's the most controversial opinion on the whole thread.

Even Ghandi would have wanted Ellis dead.

Another entirely uncontroversial opinion. Apart from Gibson's "accent" and shagging the 8 year old Queen of England, there's the small matter of the pivotal Battle of Stirling Bridge not having a f***ing bridge in it.

And just in case people blocked it out of their memories because it seems too insane to be true, this won the Best Picture Oscar ahead of Usual Suspects, Heat, Seven, Casino, Apollo 13, Toy Story and Strange Days
Nah, it was definitely the woad, the arse- baring, and the rousing speech, none of which actually happened, and not the suicidal slow march across a narrow wooden bridge to meet a well fortified army holding the high ground.

I'd say Adam Sandler too but he does have a couple of ones where he does try something different. Usually shite like but at least there was an attempt.

Quint was an egotistical arsehole who’s behaviour led to his death
(and Hooper’s if you’re a bookworm) but he could spin a good yarn and like a drink
R2D2 knew all along who vader was and said nowt

The Indiana Jones franchise now has more bad films than good
it does as of this year. mind the young indiana jones chronicles restore the balance

that's not controversial that's exactly how he is supposed to be, thanks to a masterclass from Mr Shaw
